| As the aborigines of the Internet era,children are influenced by the complex and ever-changing online environment,which plays an important role in their growth and physical and mental development.In the current era of new media,short videos represented by Douyin have become an important platform for people’s social entertainment and information acquisition,which is also an important way for children to obtain information.Children are not only passive receivers of information but also performers and important players in media communication,and they frequently appear in short videos to present different media images for people to watch and consume for entertainment.However,the influence of various factors such as social environment and adult power manipulation also makes the original innocent and childish image of children constantly alienated and distorted.This paper takes the images of children aged 6-12 years old presented in Douyin short videos as the research object,and mainly adopts the content analysis method,questionnaire survey method and in-depth interview method to analyze the characteristics of children’s images presented in Douyin short videos at this stage and the various problems in the process of their image presentation.Through the analysis,it was found that the presentation of children’s images in Douyin short videos aged 6-12 years old was mainly other-created,and the presentation of images was more diversified.On the other hand,the self-image of children is relatively single,mainly presented as "cute children","comedians" and "blackened characters".At the same time,the presentation of children’s images also reveals problems such as over-adultization and over-socialization.Therefore,this paper proposes suggestions for the problems in the process of presenting children’s images from two perspectives,including the reshaping of children’s view in the new media era and vertical and horizontal supervision,which can not only provide new thoughts for the true and objective presentation of children’s images,but also help guide the public to respect children’s subject status and establish the correct concept of children’s orientation,so that children can releasing their free nature in keeping themselves. |
