| Scientific and technological innovation in the era of “big science” is becoming increasingly complicated and systematic.Cooperation has become an important mode for innovation,and cooperation between countries is the necessary path for innovation in the global value chain.However,it is a difficult task to accurately identify innovation cooperation opportunities between countries in the vast international innovation activities.Based on the citation analysis theory of bibliometrics,this paper explored a method and process for predicting innovation cooperation opportunities between countries based on the analysis of citation coupling between patent documents.Based on the patent data of China and Poland,this paper constructed the technology domain coupling network between countries based on the technical logic correlation reflected by patent citation coupling,and used the principle and index system of social network analysis to identify and discover the potential innovation cooperation opportunities between countries.First of all,this paper combed the existing domestic and foreign research relevant to patent and patent citation,and found that most scholars associated patent citation with technical correlation and used it as direct clues to recognize cooperation opportunity.However,the indirect technical correlation and potential cooperation opportunities mapped by patent coupling have not been fully explored and utilized.At the same time,the existing relevant studies mainly focus on the identification of innovation cooperation opportunities at the micro level of individuals,enterprises and scientific research institutions,while the identification at the macro level has rarely been discussed.Secondly,this paper laid a solid foundation for data analysis,deeply analyzed the country and innovation background information of the object of study,Poland,and comprehensively summarized the mutual patent layout and patent cooperation status between China and Poland,which served as the basis for further exploration of potential innovation cooperation opportunities between the two countries.This paper elaborated the logical principle of discovering indirect innovation cooperation opportunities based on patent citation coupling,and explained the ideas and steps of measuring patent citation coupling and constructing coupling matrix.To analyze the visualization result of matrix,patent citation coupling network,a method was proposed to calculate and discover the key coupling association nodes,namely cooperation opportunities by using the theory of social network analysis.Finally,based on the theoretical background,practical basis,empirical method and patentometrics model constructed above,this paper conducted empirical analysis on the sample data,and the results showed that there are a series of potential innovation cooperation opportunities in tobacco production,energy,materials science and other fields between China and Poland.Compared with the framework of China-Poland strategic cooperation,the status of economic and trade and technical cooperation,the analysis results of this paper showed logical self-sufficiency and practical feasibility.The method of identifying innovation cooperation opportunities between two countries based on the coupling analysis of patent citation constructed in this paper is an effective exploration. |
