Employment,as the largest livelihood project,was pointed out at the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to achieve high-quality and full employment in the new era.It is necessary to emphasize employment priority policies and establish a sound employment promotion system.On February 27,2023,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the Overall Layout Plan for the Construction of Digital China",which pointed out the need to strengthen the Party’s comprehensive leadership over the construction of digital China,establish and improve the overall coordination mechanism for digital China,and timely solve major problems that arise in the process of digital development.At present,the scale of China’s digital economic already very large.According to the statistical data in the "White Paper on the Development of China’s Digital Economy(2021)",as of2021,the scale of China’s digital economy has reached 45.5 trillion yuan,accounting for 38.8% of the total GDP,with a year-on-year growth of 16.2%.However,the development level of the digital economy shows an imbalanced feature among different regions in China.According to the"2019-2024 China Digital Economy Industry Market Prospects and Investment and Financing Report "released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology,the annual digital economy scale in the northwest region of China in 2018 was 1.26 trillion yuan,and the digital economy scale in the three northeastern Provinces was 1.60 trillion yuan,while the digital economy scale in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta regions in the same year was 4.31 trillion yuan and 8.63 trillion yuan,respectively.The scale of China’s digital economy shows regional differentiation characteristics.The imbalance in the development of the digital economy will to some extent hinder regional coordinated development,affect the integration and allocation of labor factors and capital,and be detrimental to the improvement of employment quality.Therefore,studying the impact of differentiated characteristics in the development of the digital economy on employment quality and analyzing the impact mechanism of differentiated characteristics in the development of the digital economy on employment quality can help expand the employment opportunities in the new era,improve the employment quality of workers,and enhance their well-being.The research will be conducted from the following aspects:1.At the same time,a comprehensive evaluation system of employment quality indicators is constructed based on existing research literature,and the entropy method is used to measure the results of the employment quality rating system.2.Based on the Gini coefficient of the digital economy and the measurement results of the employment quality rating system,a basic regression model is established to analyze the impact of the differentiation characteristics of the digital economy on employment quality.3.In the mechanism analysis section,this study uses the characteristics of advanced industrial structure and digital economy differentiation as threshold variables for panel threshold model regression.The empirical results indicate that there is a single threshold nonlinear relationship between the differentiation characteristics of the digital economy and employment quality.When the differentiation of the digital economy is higher than the threshold value of1.2295%,the differentiation of the digital economy has a significant negative impact on the quality of employment.The research conclusion indicates that:1.The differentiated development of the digital economy has a negative impact on the improvement of employment quality.2.There is regional heterogeneity in the impact of differentiated development of the digital economy on employment quality.3.There is a single-threshold nonlinear relationship between the differentiated development of the digital economy and the employment quality.The advanced industrial structure has a single threshold effect,and the advanced industrial structure can alleviate the negative impact of the differentiated development of digital economy on the employment quality.
