In August 2018,the Central Government first put forward the concept of "six stabilizations" and put "job stability" at the top of the list.Governments at all levels have actively introduced employment policies and made great achievements in creating new jobs.Faced with the challenge of the outbreak,the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee put forward the six-point policy of "ensuring employment" in April2020 in light of the current situation,among which protecting people’s employment once again ranked first.In the current world,frontier technologies such as big data,5G,cloud computing and artificial intelligence are constantly making breakthroughs and deepening their application in social economy.With these emerging technological innovations as the core driving force,the digital economy,a new economic form,has emerged.With the increasing proportion of the digital economy in the social economy in China,the national employment gradually flows to the tertiary industry.The emerging new industries,new forms of business and new models have led to changes in the organization,employment and employment boundary of employment.How to give full play to the great potential of digital economy in employment will play an important role in ensuring the employment of residents in China.This paper aims to study the effect of digital economy development on Provincial employment in China.First of all,this paper analyzes the current situation of digital economy and employment in China,including the scale and composition of digital economy,the total employment and employment structure of China and other provinces.Secondly,the paper puts forward the mechanism of the impact of digital economy on the total employment and employment structure in theory.Firstly,it analyzes the influence mechanism of digital economy on the total employment from two aspects:the destruction mechanism and the creation mechanism of the digital economy;secondly,it analyzes the influence mechanism of the digital economy on the employment structure from two aspects: the industry structure effect and the skill structure effect.Finally,the empirical research is carried out from two aspects: one is to select the appropriate economic weight matrix and spatial error model through the relevant test,and empirically analyze the impact of digital economy on the total employment;the second is to analyze the impact of digital economy on the employment industry structure by calculating the comprehensive employment coefficient and direct employment coefficient,and analyze the influence of digital economy on employment skills through the econometric model The influence of construction.The empirical results show that: 1 There is a strong spatial correlation between the number of provincial employment in China.Variables such as ICT industry added value and the number of ICT manufacturing new product projects have a significant positive effect on China’s total employment.The empirical analysis of different regions also shows that the provinces and cities within the four regions have strong spatial correlation,and the four regions have a strong spatial correlation in addition to the coefficient of the proportion of science and technology expenditure to financial expenditure In addition,other variables have the same effect direction on the total employment of each region;the tertiary industry employment in the four provinces and29 provinces has a strong spatial correlation;ICT industry added value and industrial structure and other variables have a significant role in promoting the employment of high skilled labor force,and from the regression results of the model in different regions,we can see that the high skilled labor in the central and western regions has a strong spatial correlation Dynamic employment has a strong spatial-temporal correlation,while the eastern and northeast provinces have a strong temporal correlation,but the spatial correlation is not high.The innovation points of this paper are as follows: first,this paper analyzes the theoretical basis of digital economy,especially combing the theoretical knowledge of digital technology innovation and progress that affects employment closely related to digital economy,and constructs the mechanism of digital economic development affecting the total employment and structure;second,this paper takes province as the research area The research object,from the total employment and employment structure,the paper studies the influence of digital economic development on employment.At present,there are few empirical studies on the impact of digital economy on employment.This paper measures the development of digital economy by means of the added value of ICT industry,the proportion of science and technology expenditure,the number of new products in ICT manufacturing,and analyzes the impact of digital economic development on employment from the perspective of the whole country and the sub region.
