In 2020,the Ministry of Education revised the physics curriculum standards for ordinary high schools.In the new curriculum standards,the nature of science was mentioned in a more important position and became an important teaching goal in the physics curriculum.HPS(History of Science,Philosophy of Science,Sociology of science)is short for the history of science,philosophy of science and Sociology of science.In the opinion of the international scientific education circle,if these three levels are integrated into the education and teaching process,It can not only let students better understand the essence of science,but also promote the cultivation of students’ core quality.Based on the new Physics Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools revised in 2020,this paper discusses and researches how to apply HPS teaching model to the teaching of physics laws in middle schools.Through a large number of literature reading,this paper sorted out the theoretical basis of HPS teaching model in high school physics law teaching,and elaborated the connotation and formation process of HPS teaching model.Several common HPS teaching modes are integrated and sorted out,and based on the teaching characteristics of high school physics,the details that should be paid attention to in the practical application of HPS teaching mode are perfected and supplemented,and the corresponding case content is designed.This study mainly adopts the method of questionnaire survey,taking two parallel classes in a high school in Henan Province as the research objects.Questionnaires were issued twice before and after the implementation of the case,and the experimental results were compared and analyzed.Aiming at the four dimensions of "physical concept","scientific thinking","scientific inquiry" and "scientific responsibility and attitude" required by the new curriculum standard,a comprehensive analysis is made on the results of the questionnaire.The results show that the four dimensions of core literacy of students in the experimental class are significantly improved,which further confirms the effectiveness of HPS teaching model in promoting the development of students’ core literacy.Through the research,it is found that integrating HPS related content into the physics law teaching of high school can help students further understand the nature of science,meet the requirements of the new curriculum standards,and improve the core quality of students.On the other hand,it can also improve students’ learning interest in physics,help students concentrate their attention in class,and promote the development of students’ awareness and ability of inquiry.
