In the context of rapid economic and social development,China’s disabled veterans have a special status,and the existing problems and difficulties are also more prominent.The party and the state government attach great importance to the issue of the resettlement of retired servicemen,and strengthen the construction of the security system for retired servicemen in order to further protect the legitimate rights and interests of servicemen and make it a profession respected by the whole society.Disabled retired servicemen in rural areas need social resources to help them because of their physical disabilities,the psychological impact of physical defects,the limitations of rural living conditions,and the inability to effectively improve their psychological problems.State policies have been continuously improved,more livelihood guarantees have been provided,and the quality of life has been guaranteed.Psychological problems require more social support,and social work is used to intervene in the psychological problems of rural disabled veterans,study problems from different perspectives,and link social resources to provide a full range of services for rural disabled veterans.The author uses social support theory to intervene in the practical research of casework intervention in the psychological adjustment of rural disabled veterans.Based on past experience,the author combs through the relevant research of domestic and foreign scholars,and conducts research and analysis on the psychological adjustment of rural disabled veterans.Based on data from M Village and the Federation of Disabled Persons,this study focused on in-depth interviews with 12 rural disabled veterans.In addition to receiving disabled servicemen in the program,the author also conducted research on the psychology of disabled veterans in other rural areas in the jurisdiction.Knowing that disabled servicemen have low self-esteem,paranoia,loneliness,Sensitive and suspicious,the causes of psychological disorders of disabled veterans in rural areas are mainly caused by physical defects,family,relatives and neighbors,and social factors.Through interviews,there are the following needs: self-awareness improvement,self-emotional management,social communication and other needs.This paper sorts out the psychological problems,causes of psychological problems and psychological needs of rural disabled veterans as a whole,and then uses social support theory to intervene in the psychological problems of rural disabled servicemen from family relations,rehabilitation medical centers,veterans’ service stations,village committees,township disabled persons’ federations and other social support through five stages of 9 services.Finally,it helps the client overcome psychological obstacles,improve his own situation and living situation,enhance interpersonal skills,restore a healthy attitude,and gain respect and understanding from others,so that rural disabled veterans can better integrate into family life and society.
