A Case Study On Social Support For The Disabled In Rural Areas

Compared with the general people,the rural physical disabled people are faced with great difficulties in interpersonal communication,work and life.Being in the countryside and physically disabled,their living conditions are inadequate compared to ordinary people.The improvement of social support for disabled people in rural areas reflects the continuous improvement of China's economic development level and civilization level,contributes to social harmony and stability,and enables disabled people to find their own value.This research mainly includes the following aspects: first is the analysis of the plight of the rural disabled persons,the author USES the questionnaire method,observation method,interview method and so on investigation to the service object of M village of persons with disabilities were investigated,the results show that the economy,education,and have some psychological problems,mainly because of a physical defect causes such as,information block.Then the practical intervention,on the basis of the analysis of the plight faced by rural disabled people,selected the representative client XX as the service object.In view of the difficulties encountered by the client in social,work,family and other aspects,the service plan is formulated around the establishment of social support network.The specific intervention contents are as follows: firstly,through the client's conversation with the social worker and psychological counseling for the client,to promote the client's good psychological change;Secondly,through the intervention of the client's father and the assistance of the client to establish a new peer group communication relationship,to achieve the client's good family and peer group support.Finally,through the link of civil affairs,villages and towns,the relevant resources to help the client find a job,so as to enable the client to get formal support in work.In this way,through the intervention of life,social interaction and work of the client,the effective support structure of the client can be improved,and the social support network of the client can form a close network and be included into the client,so that the client can have a good interaction and obtain effective support in it.In the process of constructing and perfecting the support network,it can help the client realize the change of the bad life style and value concept,dig the potential of the client,solve the problem of the client,and realize the good self-development of the client.Through this study,the following conclusions are drawn: This study concludes that social work plays an important role in the construction of social support network for the disabled.The reason why the social support network of the disabled is not perfect is mainly affected by the weak support of the disabled themselves,the lack of community resources and the imperfect development of social organizations.Suggestions are put forward from the macro,medium and micro levels to help improve the ability of the disabled,link community resources and give full play to the energy of social workers.
