With the rise of group text reading teaching, many front-line teachers have adopted the group text reading teaching method in modern poetry teaching in order to make up for the shortcomings of single text teaching. However, due to the lack of theoretical guidance, the value of modern poetry group reading teaching has not been well explored. The theory of intertextuality is one of the most important literary theories in the West.It advocates breaking down textual barriers at all times,at all times,at home and abroad, and allowing texts to communicate and interact across time, space, and media through confrontation and intertextuality between texts. After continuous improvement by Mikhail Bakhtin,Julia Christiva,Roland Barthes, etc.,the theoretical value has become increasingly profound.Up to now,it has not only played an important role in Western literary creation, literary criticism, and other fields, but also showed an important impact on China’s modern poetry creation and text interpretation.Based on this, this article starts from the theory of text interaction, combines group reading with modern poetry teaching, and selects a middle school in Linchuan District,Fuzhou City as an example to analyze the existing problems in modern poetry teaching in junior high schools. On this basis,it constructs a teaching path for group reading of modern poetry in junior high schools based on the theory of text interaction. The main contents of the full text study are as follows:The introduction section provides a brief overview of the origin, significance, methods, and ideas of the study,as well as a review of relevant literature and clarification of relevant concepts. The first chapter is the theoretical research part of group text reading teaching, which includes two aspects: on the one hand,it combs the development of the theory of text cross reference, and clarifies the connotation of the theory of text cross reference; On the other hand,it analyzes the significance of the theory of text correlation in the teaching of group reading. The second chapter is from a practical perspective, focusing on explaining why group reading can be applied to modern poetry reading teaching in junior high schools. From the perspective of necessity,in order to better implement the reading objectives in the curriculum standards, improve the modern poetry teaching model; From the perspective of feasibility, first of all,the compilation of edited textbooks is instructive for the teaching of modern poetry group reading.Secondly, the current group reading teaching method is mature, providing support for the new round of group reading teaching practice. The third chapter is the investigation and research part.Through student questionnaires and teacher interviews,it analyzes the existing problems in modern poetry reading teaching from both the teacher and student levels, and summarizes the causes. The fourth chapter starts from the practical teaching level, based on the theory of text interaction, comprehensively considering the characteristics of modern poetry texts, compulsory education language curriculum standards, students’ learning situation, and other factors, and based on the general practical points of group text reading teaching, respectively, constructs the teaching path of modern poetry group text reading in junior high school from three aspects: topic formulation, text composition, and activity construction.
