The learning of ancient poetry and lyrics runs through the entire compulsory education stage.The learning of ancient poetry and lyrics in junior high school consists of two modules: teaching and self reading.Among them,36 ancient poetry and lyrics are selected for teaching and reading in class,and 48 ancient poetry and lyrics are selected for self reading in the "recitation of ancient poetry and lyrics outside class" section.The two have significant characteristics of interconnection in text selection and layout.However,after investigation,there are many problems in the current "extracurricular recitation of ancient poetry" section of teaching,such as a single teaching method,weak text awareness,and lack of awareness of expansion,leading to insufficient motivation and low learning efficiency for students to learn ancient poetry,which violates the original intention of textbook editors to improve students’ reading literacy.The "group text reading" teaching method takes the topic as the divergence point,breaks the module barrier,integrates multiple texts in and out of class,and conducts reading teaching under the guidance of questions,providing students with rich textual support for interpreting texts from multiple perspectives.Fully respecting students’ subjectivity provides students with sufficient time and exploration space to deeply understand the poet’s emotions through the comparison,analysis,and summary of multiple ancient poems.Applying "group text reading" to the "extracurricular recitation of ancient poetry" section of teaching can achieve a 1+1>2 effect in the learning of ancient Chinese poetry in junior high schools.This paper is divided into three parts.The introduction mainly describes the reason for choosing the topic,research overview,research ideas,and research methods.The first chapter of the thesis clarifies the feasibility and necessity of applying the "group text reading" teaching method to the "extracurricular ancient poetry recitation" section through the compilation characteristics of the "extracurricular ancient poetry recitation" and the essential features of the "group text reading" teaching method,combined with the specific requirements of the "Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)".In the second chapter of the thesis,using the survey methods of questionnaire survey and teacher interview,the current teaching situation of the "extracurricular recitation of ancient poetry" section was investigated.Having a detailed understanding of students’ learning and teachers’ teaching in this section,we have found many problems such as single teaching methods,weak text awareness,and inaccurate teaching objectives.In Chapter 3,in response to a series of problems in Chapter 2,combined with the characteristics of textbook selection and the specific requirements for reading teaching in the "Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",from the perspective of element design,module connectivity,and group text activities,specific strategies for applying "group text reading" to the "extracurricular recitation of ancient poetry" section are proposed.In the fourth chapter,with the topic of "Why Li Bai is homesick but doesn’t return home",the teaching practice and reflection are carried out by connecting ancient poems in class with those in the "Reading Ancient Poems after class" section.
