Children’s immature thinking abilities are easily influenced by various negative factors from society,family,and school,leading to safety issues.The cultivation and improvement of children’s self-protection ability is very important.This study is based on the practical work of the child self-protection ability improvement group in Y community of Urumqi City,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.Through literature review,questionnaires,and interview research results,the community situation is interpreted,and various problems in the improvement of children’s self-protection awareness in Y community are identified,including insufficient individual sense of danger boundary,unreasonable family education methods,formalized community safety education The complexity of social living environment,etc.In order to cultivate the self-protection ability of community children effectively,strengthen home construction,and provide comprehensive support for the cultivation of children’s safety awareness and self-protection ability,this study constructs phased research objectives and methods etc.Firstly,analyze the current implementation status of social work for child protection in Y community.Based on questionnaire survey data,analyze the advantageous resources of children’s self-protection ability,including strong personal abilities,long-term attention from parents,continuous support from the community,and close attention from society.Propose that the community should establish a collaborative promotion mechanism for social work and create a good environment for children’s self-protection education.Secondly,by analyzing the intervention plans in the social work of child protection in Y community,various community children and family themed activities are carried out around the four major categories of "life self-care,legal self-care,accident self-care,and psychological self-care",to concretize and contextualize self-care knowledge,and further enhance the self ability of Y community children.Finally,analyze the project cycle of child protection social work in Y community,from project preparation,mid-term implementation to later optimization and improvement,and comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of the working group.Evaluate,test,and compare the improvement of children’s self-protection awareness before and after the work group is stationed by applying the self-protection ability measurement table.The results of the pre test and post test of the scale indicate that the intervention method of the working group has an improvement effect on the safety awareness and skill level of community children.Through research on the improvement of children’s self-protection ability in Y community,it can be concluded that relying solely on the abilities of non professionals such as families and schools is not enough to achieve the goal of improving children’s self-protection ability.However,social work intervention through group intervention is effective in improving children’s self-protection ability. |
