The Investigation Of The Social Support Network Establishment For The Disabled Children Based On Social Work

Children are the hope of a family and nation,are the driving force of social progress and an important part of national culture.However,for the disabled children,because of their physical conditions,they have become a member of vulnerable groups in society.If they just rely on the family cannot help them get out of life and emotional difficulties.Social support network has great significance in facilitating the development of them.Social support networks can not only help disabled children reduce the burden of life,but also help them to ease the psychological pressure to restore life confidence.The social support for the disabled children contains two forms:formal and informal social support,which have an irreplaceable role in the growth of disabled children.There are still lots of difference in the disabled children and the ordinary disabled persons.As a special role in society,the disabled children have to face up more cruel survival space,greater social pressure and severer social challenges.The research for social support network of the disabled children can not only promote the children themselves development but can reduce the family and social pressure,which is necessary for the development of the whole society.With the rapid development of society,disabled children,as a special social group,is facing more and more social pressure and challenges,and they need the concern and care from all the social group.So the social support networks of disabled children are more and more important.Thus,the author intervened in the lives of disabled children and made the investigation of the problems that they are facing up by a professional social work approach.Then the author analyzed the current situation of both formal and informal social support network of disabled children:such as the support situation from the government,community,family,peer groups and school.The author made a thorough understanding of a service object from community by casework and analyzed the problems in establishing the social support network by case interview.Then the author made effective intervention into the family,peer group,communities,school and government.And then the author appealed all social powers to help in the establishing of social support network of disabled children,by which way to help these children solve the problems they encountered in the development of themselves,restore their confidence in life and help them fit into society better.At the same time,the "helping people to help themselves"concept of social work is achieved.
