More and more children have sensory integrative dysfunction(SID)because of innate and acquired reasons. The relevant intervention on SID is limited to some areas in medicine, psychology and pedagogy, lacking of intervention in social work.This study was based on social work intervention and used social work methods in support network perspective. The object of the study is a male SID child from H community in Suzhou. Social worker evaluated his situation by scale, network diagram and interview, then designed intervention strategy from personal, group and community network level, using case, group and community work methods to help him link resources of formal and informal support network, so as to build personal support network on basis of different relations and help him resume sensory integrative. Finally, some evaluation also was included.The study found that, using social support network theory to do intervention on SID children is effective. Social worker can intervene SID child and family by social work methods in view of social support network, integrating the resources of family, school,companion, community and NGO, promoting positive interaction between SID children and these support networks in order to make full use of these networks, as to help SID children gain maximum resources and enhance capabilities of sensory integration.
