Since 2014,after the great success of the online youth drama "Back in Time" broadcast by Sohu Video,my country’s major video sites have continued to increase their investment in online youth dramas,which has prompted the rapid development of my country’s online youth dramas.Many excellent works such as "With you","Stand By Me","A Love So Beautiful","Run For Young" and many other excellent works with a good harvest of word-of-mouth and traffic,online youth dramas have become the focus of my country’s online drama market.one of the types.Under the influence of the context of consumer culture,online youth dramas have presented a new representation of consumer culture.This paper takes the online youth dramas of i QIYI,Tencent Video,Youku Tudou,as well as Mango TV,bilibili and other video sites that have joined the competition in the past two years as the research objects,using literature research methods,text analysis methods,and comparative analysis methods.,questionnaire survey method and other research methods,by sorting out the development process of online youth dramas,it is found that in the context of consumer culture,online youth dramas have new characteristics and changes,and the consumption culture is clearly represented.First,through diversified emotional themes,The characters meet the emotional needs of the audience,the second is to satisfy the consumption desires of audiences of different genders through body gaze,and the third is to build an idealized youth space for the audience through the production of campus,family,and public spaces.This paper points out that under the influence of consumer culture context,online youth dramas have problems such as excessive consumption of stars,vulgar sensory stimulation content,and space detachment from reality,which brings bad value guidance to the main audience group of young people.In the context of consumer culture,online youth dramas must assume social responsibilities,play the positive role of stars,adhere to positive value guidance,must reflect real life,excavate real characters,restore real campus life,must adhere to the road of high-quality products,and strengthen original content production,and encourage the development of type fusion.With high-quality and distinctive works,it will resonate with the audience and be affirmed by the audience to achieve healthy development.
