As international competition intensifies, the chip industry has become an important battleground in the economic game between China and the United States, and many hightech enterprises in China are facing the pain of "lack of core" since 2020.The development of modern industry is inseparable from the support of chips,so the state has given positive policy inclination to the chip industry to escort the development of the chip industry. This paper examines the impact of government subsidies on the performance of JCET Group Co.,Ltd.,a leading OSAT company in the chip industry, with a view to helping the company’s sustainable development and providing reference for market and government decisions. This paper analyzes the impact of government subsidies on the financial and nonfinancial performance of taking JCET as an example, conducting a case study and analysis of the effect of government subsidies on improving the performance. The study finds that government subsidies directly increase the pre-tax profit and cash flow of the enterprise, which has a significant effect on the short-term financial performance of the enterprise. At the same time, through a comparative analysis of the changes in the financial performance of JCET before and after the exclusion of government subsidies,it was found that government subsidies had a significant contribution to the profitability of JCET,but not to its operating capacity and solvency, and did not help much to improve the growth capacity of the enterprise. In addition,it is found that the impact of government subsidies on JCET’s non-financial performance is mainly on promoting scientific and technological research and development and expanding social employment, and government subsidies have a certain impact on promoting energy conservation and environmental protection and guiding public welfare donations and do not play a significant role in improving government revenue. The marginal contribution of this paper is that: In terms of research idea, unlike previous research ideas which focus on empirical research and large sample analysis, the impact of government subsidies on the performance of chip OSAT enterprises and suggestions for improvement are explored in depth through a case study approach. In terms of research structure, most of the previous studies on the impact of government subsidies on performance are limited to the analysis of financial performance, but this paper incorporates the analysis of non-financial performance on this basis. In terms of research perspective, the current research on the impact of government subsidies on enterprise performance is basically focused on the new energy automobile industry, but this paper focuses on the chip industry OSAT enterprise JCET,which is somewhat innovative.
