In modern life, everything we can imagine has become “uncertain freedom”,including marriage. The national marriage rate has declined for seven consecutive years since 2013,according to official data from the 2020 Statistical Bulletin on Civil Affairs Development.Free and uncertain sexual relationship began to become a social problem scattered in every corner, unmarried youth group dissociated from marriage, excessively single. At the same time, the discussion of promoting marriage and love has also moved from the private domain to the public domain. The worry of unmarried young people being overly single is only increasing, and marriage continues to wander in the “uncertain freedom”.The promotion of marriage and love has become a social symptom between marriageable young people and family elders.Today,in the era of mobile communication, how is the interpersonal communication in the marriage promotion of Chinese families launched and promoted? How does the marriageable youth group face the family urging for marriage? How did Chinese families urge marriage in the family intergenerational conflict? Build consensus? Or is it deadlocked? This study attempts to analyze and interpret the family intergenerational conflicts in the process of Chinese family marriage from the perspective of interpersonal communication,in order to answer the above questions. After a preliminary visit to the dating corner of a park and a preliminary inquiry about the young people who have been urged to marry and love on online platforms such as Weibo and douban,we finally decided to adopt the qualitative research method of in-depth interview.Through the sampling plan of purposeful sampling and heterogeneous sampling, the diversified selection of samples is carried out based on different regions, different ages, different professional backgrounds, different educational levels, different sexual orientation and other factors.Finally,30 representative interview subjects were identified. After coding the interview text,it is found that the marriage promotion in Chinese families is often started by the production and dissemination of the message of the marriage facilitator,in which “growing up on time” and “filial piety and righteousness” become the fuse of intergenerational conflict. As a result, the intergenerational conflict in promoting marriage becomes more and more prominent in the interaction of conversation and the pull of conversation control. The unparalleled substitution and importance of marriage in Chinese traditional culture makes the conflict oppressed and bound by all kinds of social ethics and morality, and the intergenerational confrontation seems to be imminent, and the conflict is escalated into resistance;and the particularity of the Chinese family field makes the intergenerational conflict bridged in the interpersonal relationship of the Chinese family, and the conflict is expected to turn to negotiation. In fact, the “left” or “right” of intergenerational conflict is expected to rely on the conflict file to debug the emotion and the production and dissemination of information.
