Research On Intergenerational Projects In Public Libraries In My Countr

The intergenerational project is a social project aimed at promoting the social participation of the elderly,improving their mental health and physiological functions,and promoting the communication and interaction between the elderly and children,so as to finally achieve intergenerational integration.The intergenerational project has been widely carried out worldwide.As a public cultural service institution,the public library has also included the intergenerational project into the plan and carried out many beneficial practices.The relevant research and practice on intergenerational projects of public libraries in China are relatively weak.This paper aims to conduct a preliminary study on intergenerational projects of public libraries in China,and understand the actual situation of intergenerational projects of public libraries in China and the intentions,needs and opinions of librarians,the elderly,and children’s parents on intergenerational projects of public libraries through field research,network research,questionnaire research,etc,It also introduces and analyzes the typical cases of intergenerational projects in foreign public libraries in detail.Finally,combined with the research results and typical cases,the feasible strategies for carrying out intergenerational projects of public libraries in China are obtained: 1.Establish and improve intergenerational project policies and guarantee mechanisms.From the perspective of top-level design,consider the construction strategies of different administrative units for the intergenerational project policy of public libraries,and give full play to their departmental advantages to fill the policy gap.Based on different perspectives,consider the security issues of all participants in an overall way,and promote the improvement of the security guarantee mechanism of intergenerational projects;2.Improve and optimize intergenerational project elements.This paper mainly analyzes the basic elements of the four intergenerational projects of public libraries: collections,librarians,space and cooperation,and puts forward feasible strategies to improve the basic elements of the four intergenerational projects;3.Promote the localization and flexible development of intergenerational projects.In order to promote the intergenerational projects of public libraries to be better integrated into China and carried out locally,the four strategies put forward are to carry out intergenerational projects with local characteristics,reasonably arrange consanguineous or non consanguineous intergenerational projects,strengthen the project radiation scope and provide traffic security,and focus on project investigation and project evaluation,fully combining the actual situation,research results and foreign experience.
