Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of information technology,people’s demand for data transmission is increasing gradually,USB transmission technology is widely used in various industries due to its high speed,stability,extend easily,plug and play,and other outstanding advantages.USB2.0 protocol specification has been relatively mature after years of development,but at present,foreign companies occupy a large number of USB chip market,domestic research and market share of USB2.0 interface IP with independent property rights,especially USB2.0 Host Controller IP,are not enough.Based on these reasons,this paper designs a USB interface based on ARM Cortex-A15 processor,which realizes the USB2.0host function in the So C.The specific work content is as follows:Firstly,the USB2.0 interface based on ARM Cortex-A15 processor is analyzed and designed.According to the requirements of USB2.0 protocol and system,the interface architecture of USB2.0 is proposed,including USB Host Controller,PHY and peripheral circuit modules.The USB Host Controller designs each sub-module according to its different internal functions to complete the processing of USB protocol;The PHY module uses the domestic CH132 F high-speed transceiver chip to complete the conversion of the underlying signal;Peripheral circuit modules include power supply,clock input and other circuits.Secondly,the software of USB2.0 interface is designed.According to the software driver level from the bottom layer to the upper layer,the USB2.0 software is divided into USB Host Controller driver,USB system software driver and USB client software,and the software driver of each level is programmed.Finally,the USB2.0 interface is tested and verified.The correctness of this design was verified by using Xilinx’s FPGA prototyping verification platform.After the So C platform tape out,combining with Human Interface device and Mass Storage Class device,the high-speed handshake verification,signal stability of eye chart test,data verification and high-speed transmission rate test of USB2.0 interface on So C are completed.The test results can meet the requirements of USB2.0 protocol and system.In this paper,the USB interface design of the communication So C chip based on the ARM Cortex-A15 processor is completed,and the reusable USB2.0 interface with independent intellectual property rights is studied.Using the single-port RAM in the memory buffer module,the ULPI between the Host Controller and the PHY interface reduces the IP footprint of the USB interface under the premise of meeting the transmission requirements of the USB2.0 protocol.Through various tests and verification to ensure the correctness,stability and high-speed of the USB2.0 interface function.This design not only has a certain market value,but also has an important significance to improve the current level of chip design and manufacturing in China.
