With the increasing grade of the speed of short range radio communication, Ultrawideband (UWB) communication has been paid more and more attention. The highesttransmission rate of UWB can reach 480Mbps and more, so the rate of the terminalinterfaces of UWB transmission device should be satisfied this requirement. This thesisfocused on designing the terminal interface of UWB transmission device.This project is a component of the Key Project of National Natural Science Fund ofChina (Theories and key technologies of UWB High Speed Wireless Access system) andthe project of GUANGXI science and technology innovation capability and conditionconstruction (UWB low speed communication & Location technology).In this paper, we review the definition, features and applications of UWB andpresent the system chart and function of every module of UWB transmission system.Then we propose the solution of terminal interface of UWB transmission device. Be-cause of the characteristics of hot swap, plug and play, small size, ?exible, low cost andhigh reliability, USB interface is the standard interface of intelligent devices. Specifica-tion of USB2.0 can satisfy the speed demand of terminal interface of UWB transmissiondevices. So we design the terminal interfaces of UWB transmission device based onUSB2.0 protocol. Expanding methods for USB interface, including hardware interfacecircuit between USB and FPGA, firmware design of USB chip CY7C68013A, designand implementation of USB simulation system transmission protocol were described indetails. Debug methods of software and hardware were described in details too. Thispaper also provided some test data and curves, confirmed the feasibility of this solutionby test results. At the end of this paper, development of application program for PCend was introduced.
