Abstract/Summary:
Facing the needs of study and exploration of the marine environment, related researches on underwater sensor network technology has developed rapidly in recent decades. If a largescale field test of submarine underwater acoustic sensor network is to be carried out,the deployment efficiency and experimental cost of underwater nodes are very huge. Therefore,it is of great significance to use network simulation software to evaluate the performance of the submarine sensor network before conducting the marine underwater acoustic environment experiment.First, some common link layer MAC protocols are simulated.Common MAC protocols include ALOHA protocol,MACAW protocol and SFAMA protocol. In the simulation process, the end-to-end delay performance, throughput performance and packet loss rate performance of each MAC protocol are analyzed and compared.According to the simulation results, the advantages and disadvantages of each protocol application are analyzed. At the same time, some common routing protocols are simulated, including AODV routing protocol and DSR routing protocol.According to the comparison and analysis of the simulation results, the statistical characteristics of each routing protocol, such as transmission delay, routing overhead, and throughput, are obtained. In the underwater high-latency network communication scenario, the AODV protocol can achieve better performance as a result of the simulation analysis.Secondly, for the mobile-fixed hybrid node network and the hybrid node network system with geographically known-unknown nodes in the multi-hop structure network application scenario where some nodes cannot participate in route maintenance, based on the above research on routing protocols and MAC protocols,A hybrid MAC routing protocol is designed. The protocol is based on the design idea of pathfinding broadcast and handshake positioning. It can work normally in such a network system where some nodes cannot participate in routing maintenance, and in such a classic protocol that must maintain routing information in a mixed node network,it can effectively improve the End-to-end latency performance of the network. Finally, the software implementation of the hybrid protocol on the Linux-ARM embedded hardware platform is introduced in detail, the principle and process of the software implementation are introduced in detail, and the key algorithms used in the software implementation are introduced and the complexity is analyzed. And air acoustic experiments were performed to validate the protocol. The results show that the hybrid MAC routing protocol can achieve network connectivity in a mixed network of dynamic and static nodes, with known nodes and unknown nodes, and its functions meet the task requirements that some nodes cannot participate in routing maintenance. This lays the foundation for subsequent underwater acoustic experiments.
