Underwater sensors are widely used in marine environment detection, marine resources exploration, disaster prediction, military reconnaissance and early warning, underwater target tracking and positioning, and so on.Therefore, the underwater sensor network can not only solve the problems such as limited energy and poor real-time processing ability of single sensor, but also greatly improve the ability of information acquisition and processing. Therefore, the research of underwater communication network is great significance. This paper reviews the research status of underwater communication network at home and abroad, analyzes the difficulties about research of underwater acoustic communication network, introduces the hierarchical structure and several typical network topology structure.According to small underwater communication network based on static nodes and dynamic nodes, simulations are made on several MAC protocols such as the ALOHA,MACAW and TDMA protocol, proposes a MAC protocol based on the acknowledgement mechanism and TDMA.Simulation are made on several route protocols such as the broadcast discovery route protocol,point-to-point inquiry route protocol, proposes a new route protocol for power control based on the received SNR.The proposed protocoles are implemented in the signal processing of TI company's DSP TMS6416 processor platform. Finally, introduces the test contents, test methods and test system used to verify the network protocol offshore test, and analyzes the experimental data collected at sea.
