The Study On Vendor Managed Inventory Strategy Of W Enterprise:Based On Blockchain Technology

Vendor Managed Inventory(VMI)is a strategy to optimize supply chain processes,designed to benefit stakeholders through efficient information sharing.However,a VMI strategy requires a high level of trust and interaction among stakeholders.In the traditional VMI system,due to the risk of privacy leakage and trust issues,enterprise-level information sharing is often inefficient or poorly scalable.At the same time,enterprises lack an effective dynamic supervision system for supply chain information sharing.Therefore,the existing VMI model cannot fundamentally solve the problem of information asymmetry in the supply chain,and the key pain point of the current VMI-enabled supply chain is how to realize the safe sharing of information in a trustless environment.Blockchain is an emerging information technology that can provide better information visibility and transparency by creating a secure information sharing platform between enterprises,which has the potential to solve trust issues in supply chains.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the VMI strategy based on the perspective of blockchain.In this context,this paper studies the VMI strategy of W company based on blockchain technology.Based on the Hyperledger Fabric platform,this paper develops a blockchain system to support the VMI strategy,so that all stakeholders in the system can obtain the benefits of information sharing without revealing private information.Since the blockchain system can be deployed in a trustless environment,this blockchain system greatly reduces the trust threshold for VMI agreements between enterprises,and provides VMI with excellent membership expansion.In addition,this paper constructs the supply chain simulation model of W enterprise,and compares the benefits before and after using the VMI strategy based on blockchain technology.This paper uses the Anylogic platform to develop a supply chain simulation model based on System Dynamics(SDM)and Agent(ABM)for two scenarios of whether or not the W enterprise applies the VMI strategy.The results show that the VMI strategy based on blockchain technology developed in this paper can not only reduce the order churn rate and alleviate the bullwhip effect,but also reduce the information asymmetry between the stakeholders of the supply chain and ultimately improve the overall performance of the supply chain.
