School-based curriculum is an important part of the basic curriculum reform in primary and secondary schools in China in recent years,and the development of school-based curriculum is one of the important objectives of promoting the reform of basic education in China.It makes up for the deficiencies brought by the previous institutionalization and gives more autonomy to the school music teaching curriculum.The school-based curriculum can better penetrate the core quality of music discipline and meet the three characteristics of uniqueness,localization and display.This paper takes Huanggang Middle School as an example of school-based curriculum development to study it.After eight years of teaching reform,the school has initially constructed a high school music curriculum system with local characteristics.In the music curriculum,nine school-based courses have been developed,including chorus,folk music,brass band and string music,drama,Chinese dance,Huangmei opera,broadcasting and hosting.During the implementation of the curriculum,the school has provided teachers and class hours with the guarantee through the teaching method of the shift system.The design ideas and programs of school-based teaching materials focus on the purpose of improving students’ core music literacy,meeting students’ music learning needs and promoting students’ all-round development.The application of the music school-based curriculum in Huanggang Middle School has achieved good results and basically reached the initial development goal.The school-based music curriculum updates the school music teaching philosophy and teaching methods,and pays more attention to the development of students’ subjective initiative and personalized development.The school-based curriculum of Huanggang Middle School breaks the traditional setting mode of music curriculum,which not only solves the conflict between the heavy workload of high school students and the schedule of music curriculum,but also enables students to improve their music literacy,provide more music practice opportunities for students,and improve their team cooperation ability.The experience of music curriculum in Huanggang Middle School shows that ensuring the curriculum time,excellent teachers and reasonable teaching content in the arrangement of music school-based curriculum can improve the core music literacy of middle school students,cultivate students’ music aesthetics,enhance students’ confidence in national culture,deepen students’ understanding,and promote the personalized development of students’ music ability.We should really educate people with beauty and improve their personality.Therefore,the research in this article has strong practical value and operability,providing reference for the development of domestic high school music curriculum.
