| Junior high school is a key stage to cultivate students’ interest in mathematics learning,and the mathematics course itself has the characteristics of abstraction,logic and application,which is more difficult to learn than other courses.Some students think that learning mathematical knowledge is more like completing a certain task,and they are not interested in mathematics learning,so it is very important to vigorously cultivate and develop students’ interest in mathematics learning in the teaching process.Students learning in a relaxed and interesting teaching atmosphere will reduce the boredom of mathematical knowledge,help students improve their ability to learn mathematics,and improve the effectiveness of mathematics classroom teaching.Firstly,by reviewing the literature on mathematics learning interest at home and abroad,this paper uses the questionnaire survey method to investigate the students’ interest in mathematics learning in the foreign Chinese schools affiliated to Wuhan University,and understand the research status of junior high school students’ interest in mathematics learning.Combined with the results of the Mathematics Interest Scale,the current situation of junior high school students’ interest in mathematics learning was analyzed as a whole.Finally,from the perspectives of students,teachers,families and society,the main factors affecting the interest in mathematics learning are analyzed.According to the survey,the specific methods for cultivating and developing junior high school students’ interest in mathematics learning are summarized in the following aspects: to help students establish the awareness of learning mathematics and develop good mathematical learning habits;Teachers build lively and interesting mathematics classrooms for students,and teachers play a guiding role;Home-school collaboration creates an environment that fosters students’ interest in mathematics.Finally,in the teaching practice,the two classes taught are divided into experimental classes and control classes,and students are encouraged to be classroom teachers,discover problems,explain problems,and expand students’ mathematical horizons in the teaching of experimental classes.Through a series of habit formation,students can enhance their confidence and interest in learning mathematics.The control class is a regular teacher-oriented teaching method.At the end of the semester,by comparing the scale,mathematics performance and student feedback of the two classes,the students’ interest in mathematics increased higher than that of the control class,and their attitude towards mathematics learning was better than that of the control class.In the process of learning mathematics,rigorous logical analysis ability and the ability to draw inferences from one case to another are all manifestations of increased interest in mathematics learning. |
