| The critical period for cultivating students’ interest in mathematics learning lies in the middle school stage.As a subject with strong logic,abstraction and application,mathematics is more difficult and has higher requirement of the thinking of students in contrast with other subjects in middle school stage.According to the observation of the author,the present status of middle school students learning mathematics at present is that they are tired of completing various learning tasks instead of involving in the learning spontaneously out of interest.However,such a learning state cannot facilitate the long-term development of students.In view of it,the stimulation of students’ learning interest in mathematics teaching is particularly important.In this thesis,the factors affecting middle school students’ interest in mathematics learning and the strategies stimulating students’ interest in learning were focused on for research.The following eight parts constitute the thesis: The first part is the introduction,in which the background significance,research purpose,research method and related literature review of this research are mainly expounded.In the second part the theoretical research is conducted,in which the theoretical research on learning interest are mainly expounded.In the third part,the survey research and questionnaire interviews are carried out to investigate the present status of students’ mathematics learning and their attitude towards mathematics learning.In the fourth part,the factors that affect middle school students’ interest in mathematics learning are elaborated,in which the four aspects of school factors,family factors,social factors,and students’ own factors are mainly included.In the fifth part,the teaching strategies to stimulate students’ interest in mathematics learning are elaborated,in which the improvement of teaching methods,the change of teaching forms,the expansion of the application of mathematics,the enhancement of teaching evaluation methods and so on are mainly included.In the sixth part,an experiment of stimulating Junior Middle School students’ interest in Mathematics Learning.The teaching design and teaching effect of the case analyzed by me.The seventh part is the conclusion,in which the research viewpoints,problems,deficiencies and prospects for the future are summarized.In line with the requirements of the new curriculum standard,the investigation and research would be conducted on middle school students of the school.The relevant research literature at home and abroad was studied,and my own experience in education and teaching was combined to understand the factors affecting students’ interest in mathematics learning and explore strategies to stimulate students’ interest in mathematics learning through questionnaires and interviews,so more guidance suggestions could be provided for many front-line teachers. |
