Putting the people at the center and rooted in the land of China to provide education.Adhere to moral education as the first priority,improve the level of intellectual education,strengthen physical and aesthetic education,and implement labor education.Sports dance has both sports and aesthetic attributes,naturally becoming an emerging sports project favored by the public.Sports dance in China has developed very rapidly,with many universities offering sports dance majors and elective courses.Amateur training institutions for sports dance are also available everywhere.Rumba dance,known as the "soul of Latin dance",is the first dance to contact in the learning process of Latin dance,and also the basis for learning other dances.Therefore,mastering the technical skills of rumba dance is particularly important.However,the introduction of sports dance in China has only been a short few decades,and currently the teaching methods of sports dance in China are relatively single,and there is still great room for development.Latin dance beginners are generally young,and the existing teaching model is boring or difficult to understand.Therefore,it is necessary to explore more suitable teaching methods.Situational teaching method is a teaching method in which teachers consciously create a certain image,vivid,and specific scene according to the teaching purpose in the specific teaching process,in order to enhance classroom emotions and stimulate students’ attitude experience,thereby helping students better understand the teaching content and promoting the development of students’ physical and mental machines.For beginners of Latin dance,using the situational teaching method to transform the boring technical skills in rumba dance into training content that is easy to understand and master,can combine teaching with music,stimulate students’ learning interest,improve learning effect,and let students feel the influence of rumba dance culture in the learning process.This article adopts the methods of literature review,expert interviews,and teaching experiments.Taking students from the Suzhou Dance and Ballet Art Center as an example,a comparative experiment is conducted between the situational teaching method and the traditional teaching method.The results show that:(1)The situational teaching method has a more significant improvement on students’ specialized skills than traditional teaching methods.After the experiment,based on the comparison of data between the experimental class and the control class,it was found that the P value in terms of movement posture,music rhythm,and emotional expression was less than 0.01,with a highly significant difference.The P value in terms of specific techniques was between 0.01 and 0.05,with a significant difference.To sum up,the situational teaching method has significantly improved students’ specific skills,as well as their movement posture,music rhythm,and emotional expression.(2)Situational teaching method can fully stimulate students’ interest in learning more than traditional teaching method.After the experiment,according to the comparison of data between the experimental class and the control class,the P values of the four dimensions of positive interest in learning,negative interest in learning,degree of motor participation,and degree of autonomous learning were all less than0.01,and the differences were highly significant.In summary,the fascinating storyline and colorful teaching aids have a significant impact on the learning interests of students applying situational teaching methods.(3)Situational teaching methods perform better in class than traditional teaching methods.After the experiment,based on the comparison of data between the experimental class and the control class,it was found that the P value in both classroom motivation and classroom concentration was less than 0.01,with a highly significant difference.The P value in classroom completion was greater than 0.05,with no significant difference.To sum up,situational teaching method can improve students’ classroom enthusiasm and concentration.the people as the center and taking root in China to run education.Adhere to the principle of putting moral education first,improve the level of intellectual education,strengthen physical and aesthetic education,and implement labor education.Sports dance has both sports and aesthetic attributes of dance,naturally becoming a popular emerging sports project.Sports dance has developed rapidly in China,with many universities offering sports dance majors and optional courses,and sports dance training institutions are available everywhere.
