Due to the growing need for high-caliber talent in society in the twenty-first century,school physical education has assumed a more significant role as a vital component of academic instruction and a crucial connection in the promotion of quality education.Short videos have started to penetrate people’s lives and have become an essential part of their lives as a result of the Internet’s recent rapid expansion.The PBL teaching approach is a problem-focused approach that enhances education through instructor direction and independent inquiry learning from students.In order to determine the efficacy and viability of this method for teaching junior high school soccer,this study applies the PBL teaching method based on brief videos to the subject.It also assesses the students’ physical form,physical quality,theoretical and skill level of learning,interest in physical education,and evaluation of the teaching method.The effectiveness and feasibility of this method in junior high school soccer teaching were investigated.In order to assess students’ physical shape,physical quality,soccer skill level,and interest in learning about physical education,among other things,this study used the methodologies of literature,expert interviews,teaching experiments,questionnaires,and mathematical statistics.A 16-week teaching experiment was carried out with two classes of eighth graders(1 and 2)from Zhenxing Middle School in Chiping District as the experimental and control groups.Class 2 served as the control class and employed the conventional teaching strategy,whereas Class 1 served as the experimental class and used a brief video-based PBL approach.Through the comparison of pre and post tests,the following conclusions were obtained.After the trial,there was no discernible difference between the two groups in terms of height,weight,standing long jump,800 m,or 1000 m indexes(p>0.05),but there was a discernible difference in terms of soccer theory and skill level test indexes(p<0.05)and physical education learning interest indexes(p<0.05).(1)Regarding the impact of teaching on altering body shape and physical quality,there is no discernible difference between the PBL teaching method based on brief videos and the conventional teaching method.(2)The PBL approach built on quick videos is better for students’ comprehension and technique mastery.(3)The use of PBL teaching techniques based on quick videos can help students learn concepts more thoroughly,retain them more easily,and improve their practical application.(4)The PBL teaching approach,which is based on brief videos,can increase students’ enthusiasm in learning about physical education and inspire them to learn.(5)Students have high satisfaction and participation in the PBL teaching method based on short videos,and think that the teaching method is helpful to their learning.
