In today’s world,comprehensive talents have become the core of market competition.The demand for comprehensive talents is driving the continuous reform of education.Countries all over the world have increased their investment in the reform of basic education in order to be able to occupy a main position in the future competition for talents.Since the promulgation of the core guiding ideology of the "New Curriculum" for deepening the reform of basic education in 2001,basic education in all disciplines of junior high school has been undergoing continuously teaching reforms.At the same time,the design and application of the senior high school entrance examination questions have also changed.In particular,since the implementation of the new curriculum,those subjects that were once tested in a mixed format have been split and tested in a separate comprehensive test in order to cultivate students’ integrated core literacy.Therefore,it is important to grasp the latest trend of middle school geography proposition and clarify the direction of investigation of middle school geography test questions to cultivate middle school students’ geography core literacy,to implement and deepen the reform of basic education and to realize the goal of cultivating people with moral character.This study,which takes the geography test questions for secondary school examinations of Xiangtan City,Hunan Province in recent years as the object of study tries to make a deep analysis of the test scores that test students’ geography core literacy to conclude the innovation and modernity of the test design.Through analyzing and summarizing the research results on core literacy of junior high school geography by previous scholars,we use them as the theoretical basis for this study.The four main elements of geography core literacy,which including human-land harmony view,integrated thinking,geographic practicality and regional awareness were discussed and further conclusions were drawn.At the same time,relevant suggestions were given on the shortcomings of geography core literacy development for secondary school exam in Xiangtan at the present stage.This paper,which takes the test questions of the geography paper of Xiangtan City,Hunan Province,2017-2021 as the research object,analyzes the design philosophy of the geography paper of Xiangtan City,Hunan Province from 2017 to 2021,the distribution of the elements of the test points and the cultivation of students’ geography core literacy in the test papers with literature method,empirical research method,comparative research method,mathematical analysis method and inductive summary method.It based on the main teaching purpose of cultivating students’ core literacy.The analysis results show that the questions in the 2017-2021 Xiangtan Geography test paper for the secondary school examination are characterized by: comprehensive coverage of basic knowledge,combination of geographic multiple dimensions and multidisciplinary perspectives,and infiltration of humanistic geographic sentiment,plus the combination of basic geographic knowledge with current affairs,society and life as a basis,focusing on students’ ability to think socially and practically.However,from the point of view of the value of the geography test paper for the secondary school examination in Xiangtan City,the regional cognitive literacy score accounted for the highest,followed by comprehensive thinking literacy,and then is the coordination of human-land harmony view and geographic practice,of which the regional cognitive score accounted for a year-on-year increase in the phenomenon,to 2021,the score accounted for more than 4/5 of the value of the whole paper.While the geographic practicability and human-land harmony view hover around 50 points year-round,integrated thinking though appears to be a growth phenomenon,but by 2021 the score is still below 63 points,rising tendency is not obvious enough.In addition,from the analysis on the fit of the four core elements of cultivation,the fit of the concept of human-land harmony view and regional cognition is better,while although the integrated thinking and geographic practicability increasing year by year,it is still far from the core literacy standards.Therefore,it can be reflected that Xiangtan City cultivates students’ geography core literacy education focusing on the aspects of regional cognition and human-land harmony view,while relatively less attention is paid to the two core elements of integrated thinking and geography practicability.In terms of the four elements of geography core literacy,the integrated cultivation of the four core elements,as seen in the instructions of the new curriculum,is an integrated cultivation of both the population view,nature view,resource view,environment view and social development view,as well as an important way for students to analyze and understand the laws of geography and the relationship between people and land.Based on this,the researcher proposes corresponding propositions based on her academic ability to develop students’ four core geographic literacies in an integrated and relatively balanced way,in order to promote students’ formation of a good integrated way of thinking and further improve their core geographic literacy,thus laying a good foundation for cultivating students to become integrated talents in the new era. |
