With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the traditional teaching method of ideological and political course in senior high school is hard to meet the requirements of the new curriculum standard and teaching practice.The teaching method based on cartoons can not only arouse students’ enthusiasm for learning,but also stimulate their curiosity,which plays an important role in teachers’ classroom teaching and students’ acquisition of knowledge.However,in the current teaching process of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools,there are also some problems,such as teachers paying more attention to knowledge indoctrination than cartoon inspiration,lack of in-depth connection between cartoons and teaching materials,and students’ low participation in cartoon teaching.Therefore,it is necessary to study how to use cartoons in teaching materials efficiently.This paper intends to explore the educational value of cartoon connotation from different teaching subjects and various teaching links,and optimize the teaching methods to improve the vividness,timeliness and education of ideological and political teaching in senior high schools.The full text includes four parts:The first part introduces the concept,classification and educational function of comics.This paper defines the connotation of comics,analyzes the characteristics of comics,and classifies the comics used in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high school,which are divided into four categories: straight-minded,implied,social commentary and value-oriented comics.Combined with the teaching materials,it expounds the educational value of comics and summarizes the multiple functions of comics in teaching.The second part analyzes the feasibility and necessity of applying comics to the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools.The first is feasibility analysis,which is perfect in terms of means,contents and functions,so cartoon teaching is feasible;Secondly,it analyzes the necessity.The application of comics in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools has multiple advantages: it conforms to the life-oriented ideological education advocated by the new curriculum standard and promotes the all-round development of students;Enrich teaching methods and improve teachers’ professional quality;It plays a unique role in reducing the difficulty of understanding textbooks and improving the efficiency of classroom teaching.The third part is mainly about the investigation of the current situation of comics in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools.Through questionnaires and interviews,teachers and students in four schools in Zhangjiakou and Baoding were investigated to explore the problems existing in the application of comics in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools,and the reasons for these problems were analyzed from the aspects of evaluation mechanism,teachers’ ability and students’ participation.The fourth part puts forward the optimization strategy of comics in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high school.Firstly,it is clear that comics should follow the principles of scientificity,diversity and students’ subjectivity in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools.Secondly,the improvement strategies are put forward from the three main bodies of schools,teachers and students.The fifth part taking the topic "Basic Problems of Philosophy" in the second box of Lesson 11 in the textbook of Life and Philosophy in senior high school as the specific teaching content,the practical exploration of applying comics to the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high school is carried out.
