| Future Time Perspective(FTP)refers to people’s perceptions of the future by individuals who know the future.People’s views on the future influence the decisions of daily life,which determine the success or failure of life.Studies have shown that individuals with positive future time insights show more positive behavior.This stage is a critical period for the development of future time perspective.The emergence of "adulthood" has led teenagers to think about future lives such as academic planning and career ideas.Thinking about the future affects an individual’s present behavior.Studies have shown that future time perspective affects individual self-control,and individuals with high levels of future time perspective have higher self-control ability.In the past two years,due to the impact of the epidemic,junior high school students’ attitude towards the future has become pessimistic,they have lost confidence in their future life,and their work and study have become sluggish.Therefore,this study aims to improve the time perspective level,and their time management and future planning skills,thereby improving self-control ability,helping junior high school students to better treat their studies and life,and grow up healthily.This study has two parts: First,the first part uses a questionnaire survey method to explore the current situation and interrelationship of junior high school students’ future time insight and self-control,represented by a middle school student,and provide specific data support for the current issues related to adolescent mental health education.Then,the educational experiment represented by middle school students,and the mental health education curriculum intervention of the subject of future time perspective in the class as the unit,and the impact of the curriculum on the self-control level of junior high school students was examined.This is manifested by distributing a scale of future time perspective and self-control,on the basis of which three classes with no statistical differences in scores in the two dimensions were selected,and randomly assigned to experimental,placebo and control groups.The experimental group was implemented with a three-month total of eleven lessons of future time insight thematic course intervention,while the placebo group was implemented for a three-month total of eleven hours of regular psychological courses,and the control group did not have psychological classes.Results are as follows:1.There are significant differences in the future time perspective of junior high school students in gender,grade,region,and whether they are only children.2.There are significant differences in the self-control level of junior high school students in terms of gender,grade,region,whether they are only children,and whether they are class cadres.3.There is a significant positive correlation between future time perspective and self-control.4.Future time perspective can significantly predict self-control in junior high school.5.Psychological courses with the theme of insight into future time can improve the level of self-control of junior high school students. |
