Service Research On Social Work Of Elderly Volunteers’ Community Participation Ability Promotion Under The Background Of The Three-community Linkage Project

With the intensification of the aging problem in China,how to realize active aging has become an important issue today.It’s important for elderly people to not only be in good physical condition,but also have the opportunity to participate in community and social activities.Therefore,supporting the elderly to participate in public service has been considered as an important way to achieve active aging.Nowadays,China is actively promoting three-community linkage project to strengthen grassroots social governance and services in which the elderly volunteers play an important role.However,there are still some problems with the construction of the elderly volunteer ranks,such as passive participation,low level of participation and autonomy.Based on the three-community linkage project of 2021 in M community in F city,this study uses the elderly volunteers as the research object.From the perspective of the theory of participatory development and activity theory,it uses the method of literature research,interviews and participatory observation.Inhibited by administrative power,community resources and community system,elderly volunteers face some difficulties during community participation like passive participation more than active participation,low degree of participation and few channels for participation.They have needs of consciousness-raising,more paths and higher degree of participation,skill training and so on.Through professional methods of group work and community work,the service was designed on three levels of ability improvement: sense of participation,knowledge of participation and skills of participation,in order to explore how social work can effectively intervene in the community participation ability improvement of elderly volunteers.Then based on the service effectiveness of social work,this study concludes and reflects on the whole research,and puts forward targeted advice.First,the government should advocate and support elderly volunteers’ participation in community service.Second,the community should pay attention to improving channels and mechanism for participation.Third,it’s significant to set up a perfect system of community participation ability promotion.Fourth,the transformation of the“three-community linkage project” into “five-community linage project” is supposed to be accelerated.Fifth,we should help elderly volunteers strengthen their consciousness of competence and ego-subject.
