Research On The Process Of Group Intervention In The Construction Of Public Space In The Community Of Changing Villages

Under the process of urbanization,China’s social development has made sweeping changes.In terms of the urbanization rate of the resident population,it has reached to63.9% by the end of 2020.This means that towns and cities have become important carriers of high-quality social development in the new era.However,with the rapid urbanization process,the problem of community space governance comes one after another.The process of demolishing "villages" and building "dwellings" has deconstructed the traditional public space of rural society,which has not only led to a serious loss of social capital in the community,but also made community conflicts frequent.The "village-to-residence" communities after the demolition of villages have been greatly affected and shaken by the marginalization of their geographical location and the complexity of the people living in them,and the problems of trust and relationship networks within the communities need urgent intervention and solution.The W community is a typical village to residence community reorganized from several scattered villages in the process of "evacuating" villages and "building" residences.As a typical transitional community,its traditional public space has been destroyed and its collective spatial memory has collapsed.The "privacy" of living space and the "shrinkage" of public space under urbanization have led to the shrinking of people’s interaction space,and the public interaction space in the community needs to be constructed.In the context of reconfiguration of living space,the physical space of W community is broken,the internal relationship network of residents is damaged,and the sense of community needs to be cultivated.Therefore,based on the summary of community development dilemmas and needs,we developed a project design for the community based on the theoretical approach of spatial reproduction,spatial practice and spatial reproduction to meet the community development needs.The group design aims to rebuild the community relationship network through the creation of public space,and to enhance the sense of community and community belonging.In the spatial reproduction dimension,the group design is based on the excavation of community history and the reproduction of community physical space in the form of clay sculpture;in the spatial practice dimension,the main focus is on the conception and creation of community picture books based on the results of community visits to enhance the sense of belonging of community residents;the focus in the reproduction space dimension is on the creation of public picture book space,and the series of activities are used as a medium to expand the visibility of community public space and to stimulate the participation and interaction of community residents.participation and interaction.Finally,based on the summary of the spatial creation path,we propose optimized countermeasures and suggestions at the macro and micro levels respectively.On the one hand,community development should follow the Party’s policy guidance and gradually recreate the community community;on the other hand,we need to develop multiple types of community public spaces to reach more people in the community,and gradually develop community self-organization and cultivate the backbone of residents to promote the organization and sustainability of community public space services.
