A Study Of College Students’ Revolutionary Cultural Identity

Revolutionary culture is not only the inheritance and innovation of the excellent Chinese traditional culture,but also the important source of the advanced socialist culture.As a highly representative and high-quality cultural resource,revolutionary culture remains the most distinctive spiritual symbol of the Chinese nation and a powerful spiritual impetus for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream.College students will certainly be the contributor and great successor of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics,also the backbone of the future development of our country.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to cultivate college students’ sense of identity to the revolutionary culture and guide them to actively carry forward the revolutionary culture.Thus,it is necessary to conduct a study on the revolutionary cultural identity of college students.This paper focuses on the following aspects: Firstly,the author explains the value of revolutionary culture of the times and the value of university students identifying with it.Revolutionary culture has an important contemporary value in promoting the construction of the Party,building the Chinese dream,strengthening cultural confidence and nourishing the spiritual home of the Party and the people.Secondly,the author uses questionnaire survey to grasp the current situation of college students’ revolutionary cultural identity and analyze the main problems among it,which could provide a scientific and objective reference basis for subsequent research.Thirdly,combined with the current situation reflected from the research,the author analyzes in depth the reasons for the problems of revolutionary cultural identity of college students.Finally,based on the research results,the author proposes effective methods to strengthen college students’ sense of identity to the revolutionary cultural.The main content and viewpoints of this paper are as follow: First,this paper discusses the value of revolutionary culture of the times and the value of revolutionary cultural identity of college students.On one hand,the revolutionary culture has an important value of the times in terms of strengthening cultural confidence,driving Party building,nourishing the spiritual home of the Party and the people,and building the Chinese dream together.On the other hand,it has more important value for college students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs,cultivate and practice socialist core values,achieve all-round development,and take up the mission of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Secondly,an in-depth research was conducted on the current situation of revolutionary culture identity of college students among seven colleges and universities of different levels and specialties.A total of 552 valid questionnaires were collected,and it could be found that college students do have problems such as vague cognitive identity,weak emotional identity and lack of behavioral identity to the revolutionary culture.After the objective analysis,the author found several reasons why college students have identity problems with revolutionary culture in the following aspects.On the social side,it is mainly due to the insufficient protection and development of revolutionary resources,the impact of the infiltration of undesirable trends and the influence of information networking.When it comes to the school level,some schools do not pay enough attention to revolutionary culture education,the educational resources of revolutionary culture are poorly developed,and the education form of revolutionary culture is solidified in a single way.On the family side,some parents themselves exert a weak foundational influence on the students,and the family education exerts a pervasive influence on the students.On their own side,some college students do not have a comprehensive ideological understanding of revolutionary culture,and they do not practice revolutionary culture deeply in the real life.Third,on the basis of research and study,practical and effective measures are proposed at the social,school,family and individual levels in this study.At the social level,we should pay attention to the protection,development and utilization of revolutionary cultural resources,occupy revolutionary cultural propaganda positions,and purify the network environment for the dissemination of revolutionary culture.And universities and colleges should optimize the campus revolutionary cultural environment,tap revolutionary cultural education resources,and innovate revolutionary cultural education methods.At the family level,we need to improve parents’ revolutionary cultural literacy and try to create a favorable atmosphere of revolutionary culture in the family.As for the individuals,we should strengthen college students’ ideological understanding of revolutionary culture and give them more opportunities to practice revolutionary culture.
