The history large unit teaching design is both a basic unit of history curriculum and lesson development,an important basis for lesson planning,and an effective way to implement the core literacy of the subject of history.As a new teaching design mode,the large unit teaching design raises the teacher’s teaching design vision from the micro level of a single lesson to the macro level of a unit,optimizing the teaching of history subjects.Combining the characteristics of the subject of history and the problems that arise in the current design of large units of instruction,the following principles for the design of large units of history can be summarized: combining holistic and generative teaching design,combining maximum and optimal use of teaching materials,combining macro-narrative and micro-insight.In order to ensure the consistency of teaching,learning and evaluation,this paper summarizes the strategy of teaching design of large historical units by referring to"Ub D" mode.Take "the bourgeois Revolution and the initial establishment of the capitalist system" as an example,the teaching design is centered on the "British bourgeois Revolution”.Demonstrating the use of large units of instructional design in the teaching of junior history.To provide a concrete,actionable strategy for the new curriculum reform’s requirements for students to construct knowledge,enhance competencies and develop core literacies,enriching research on the practical,individual aspects of large unit instructional design.
