In recent years,how to improve the quality of classroom teaching has become a hot topic in the field of education.In order to improve the quality of classroom teaching,many experts,scholars and front-line teachers began to try some new teaching modes,such as project-based teaching,which were applied to the geography classroom of each learning stage.Practice has proved that the project-based teaching mode is one of the effective measures to improve the quality of classroom teaching.Seen from the effect of project-based teaching activities abroad,project-based teaching can not only effectively improve the quality of classroom teaching,but also improve students’ geography practical ability.However,in practical operation,project-based teaching has not achieved the ideal learning effect,which is related to the lack of cognition of project-based teaching mode by most middle school geography teachers and the non-standard implementation process.Geography practical ability is an important content of the geography core literacy in the geography curriculum standards of Geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition).How to cultivate students’ geographical practical ability in project-based teaching activities is the main issue of this paper.Therefore,this paper combines project-based teaching and training students’ geography practical ability organically,analyzes the resistance of implementing project-based teaching in senior high school geography and the problems existing in the process of training students’ geography practical ability.According to the problems and resistance,the implementation strategy is proposed,and the teaching activities are designed,so as to make the project-based teaching strategy more representative and operable,and then provide reference for other regions.Under the guidance of constructivism,Pragmatism,multiple intelligences and geographical teaching theory,this paper firstly uses literature analysis method to study and analyze the relevant literature of project-based teaching and geography practical ability,and then defines the concept of project-based teaching based on the cultivation of geography practice ability.Then 71 geography teachers from five senior high schools in Zhongmu county were surveyed by questionnaire and interview to analyze the resistance of implementing project-based teaching in senior high school geography curriculum and the problems existing in the process of cultivating students’ geography practical ability.Through the analysis of the questionnaire,it is found that(1)Teachers’ knowledge of project-based teaching is low,but their knowledge of geographical practice is high.(2)The teaching mode of teachers is relatively single,and they attach little importance to project-based teaching mode.(3)Teachers’ evaluation of teaching is a mere formality,and the evaluation effect does not meet the requirements of curriculum standards.(4)The original intention of teachers’ application of project-based teaching focuses on the realization of self-value.(5)Teachers encounter diverse resistance in the process of project-based teaching.Based on the above problems,this paper puts forward the implementation strategy of project-based teaching based on the cultivation of geography practical ability.(1)Strengthen professional training for teachers and improves their professional literacy.(2)Teachers guide students to study independently and improve the teaching evaluation mechanism.(3)Construct a study group and establish a cooperative team.(4)Flexible arrangement of time,overall arrangement of tasks after class.Finally,this paper proposes that project-based teaching design should be true and close to life,diversified and operable levels combined with challenges.A complete project-based teaching activity should be formed in accordance with the sequence of establishing the learning objectives,design learning objectives,formulating project plans,carrying out project exploration,making project finished products,demonstrating,communicating,evaluating and reflecting.Based on the implementation and design of project-based teaching,the paper designs project-based teaching activities based on the cultivation of geography practical ability to construct a green boutique campus.
