Research On The Cultivation Of High School Students’ Geographic Autonomous Learning Ability Based On "Internet + Education"

Abstract/Summary:
In the Internet plus era,the information emerges explosively,which requires students to have the ability to receive,digest and analyze the new information quickly.Passive learning can no longer meet this rapidly developing society.Therefore,the ability to learn independently is particularly important.In addition,the internet can not only contributes to an open educational environment and wealthy resources for students’ learning,even helps students to harness initiative with the Internet-education integration.However,students are easily disturbed by other things in the process of self-learning using the Internet.Therefore,it is difficult to promote independent learning.Based on the mentions above,the authors proposed the topic of research on the cultivating geographic course autonomous learning ability for senior high school students based on “the Internet plus education”.This study,through literature review,combs out the research status of autonomous learning mode at home and abroad,autonomous learning in geography and autonomous learning in“the Internet plus education”,defines the basic concepts of the Internet plus education,autonomous learning and geographic information accomplishment.Backed up by research on autonomous learning concerned theories,this study makes a questionnaire from respectively,software and hardware conditions and time of students’ geographic course autonomous learning,the factors affecting the environment of geographic course autonomous learning,the factors of learning resources in geographic course and the factors of learning individuals.Moreover,this study makes a interview survey from respectively teachers’ recognition of the Internet geographic course autonomous learning,the use of the Internet in regular teaching and the problems,aiming at analyzing the current situation,problems and causes of senior high school students’ geographic course autonomous learning,raising strategies,and verifying strategy effectiveness through application cases.Referring to opinions and suggestions of investigated teachers and students,this study summarizes the current situation of senior high school students’ geographic course autonomous learning ability based on“the Internet plus education”:(1)Teachers are in favor of senior high school students to use the Internet for geographic course autonomous learning.(2)Most teachers are shortage of systematic and scientific guidance on the Internet application in regular teaching.(3)The geographic information accomplishment of teachers and students needs to be further improved.(4)Students are keenly interested in the Internet autonomous learning.(5)The motivation of students’ geographic course autonomous learning needs to be cemented.(6)The proficiency of students to use the Internet for geographic course autonomous learning needs to be further improved.(7)Parents’ attitude towards students’ using the Internet for geographic course autonomous learning needs to be further improved.This study makes an analysis on the current situation and problems of senior high school students’ geographic course autonomous learning ability based on the Internet plus education:(1)Teachers’ guiding roles are not brought into full play.(2)Teachers are shortage of the cultivation on students’ geographic information accomplishment and autonomous learning proficiency.(3)Students’ cognition of geographic subject is insufficient.(4)Students attach little importance to autonomous learning goals and plans.(5)Parents are subject to the obsolete concept that “the Internet is entertainment”.Supported by conclusions and theoretical basis of the questionnaire,this study proposes strategies of senior high school students’ geographic course autonomous learning ability based on the Internet plus education in three aspects,respectively students,teachers and families:(1)Students are seeking for the driving force of geographic course autonomous learning through the Internet by strengthening sense of self-efficacy and enriching the Internet cognition.(2)Students improve their self-control by deepening cognition of geographic course learning and developing good learning habits.(3)Teachers should innovate educational and teaching ideas and play their guiding roles into full.(4)Teachers should raise geographic information accomplishment and develop students’ geographic information accomplishment.(5)Parents should change their minds and play a guiding and supervising role.
