In junior high school teaching,great emphasis is always put on examination scores instead of the improvement of students' actual ability,the improvement of students' internet-based autonomous learning ability is greatly helpful for them to get knowledge.Currently,the research on autonomous learning theory is very common,but most of the research is confined to traditional teaching environment.It is urgent to improve the research on how to improve junior high school students' internet-based autonomous learning ability.By adopting the methods of literature review,questionnaire and interview,the thesis did careful research on junior school students' internet-based autonomous learning ability in a junior high school,find out the common features and problems of No.26 junior school students' internet-based English autonomous learning ability,and find out the solutions to the existing problems,help to improve their study efficiency and lay a solid foundation for future study and employment.The thesis is composed of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,mainly stating the background,significance,purpose and methods of the research.The second chapter is the literature review part,mainly introducing related research achievements home and abroad,theoretical foundation of the research and major definitions related to the research.The third chapter is the most important part of this thesis.It is the design of the research and result analysis part.The research tried to check high school students' internet-based autonomous learning ability from many angles,such as attitudes,facilities,resources,approaches,teachers' role,efficiency,etc.By analyzing the data from the questionnaire to find out the common features and problems in junior high school students' internet-based autonomous learning ability.The fourth chapter is about the solutions to the problems discovered in Chapter Three.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part.Through the research and result analysis,the author discovers that it is becoming very common for the students of No.26 junior high school students to participate in internet-based autonomous learning;but there are also some existing problems,such as students' poor self control ability,unsatisfactory communication,inadequate software and hardware facility and inadequate teachers' assistance.The thesis also tries to propose solutions to the abovementioned problems from the perspectives of the software and hardware,teachers' role and students' involvement.
