Love for the motherland has always been an everlasting theme of The Times in the course of social development.With the growth of age,children gradually develop the attribute of "social person",and then produce the love for the motherland,belonging to the feeling.Any individual’s feelings for the motherland are based on understanding.However,the current preschool education theory and practice often ignore the exploration and cultivation of children’s understanding level of love for the motherland,underestimating children’s understanding ability.This kind of neglect and underestimation is easy to affect the practice and development of patriotic education activities in the field of preschool.Therefore,what kind of understanding and cognition of children to the abstract "love the motherland",and how should adults explore the true idea of children’s heart,is the focus of this study.Based on the children’s simplicity theory,this study selected 63 children in large class in X kindergarten and two preschool teachers with rich teaching experience who are familiar with this group of children as the research objects.In the research process,research tools of Mosaic method are mainly used to collect data,including traditional research tools represented by observation method and interview method,as well as participatory research tools dominated by children’s conference,kindergarten trip,independent photography and painting method.With the help of Nvivo qualitative analysis software,primary materials are coded,collated and summarized.In terms of research ideas: the author first went to the park for observation to understand the understanding level of the research object and get familiar with the learning environment of the research object,which laid the foundation for the subsequent research.In the formal study,the author first held a children’s meeting to refine the understanding system of "loving the motherland" for children aged 5-6 and determine the research focus.In the follow-up study,the kindergarten trip and independent photography and painting methods are used to facilitate in-depth understanding of their current situation and characteristics.At the same time,the semi-structured interview method runs through the whole process of the investigation,which also provides data support for the subsequent analysis of the causes.It is found that children aged 5-6 years old can understand "love the motherland" from three aspects: the overall concept of love the motherland,the important value of love the motherland and the object of love the motherland.Their understanding status meets the three essential conditions of children’s simplicity theory,and they have initially acquired the naive understanding of "love the motherland",and present the characteristics of opposite sex,simplicity,functionality and instability.After the systematic analysis and summary of the research data,it is found that children themselves(thinking characteristics,knowledge experience,moral development level,gender difference),social culture,kindergarten environment and educational activities,preschool teachers’ teaching ability and importance,family environment and members are the important factors that make children form this understanding level.However,children’s ability and level are constantly developing.The research on the understanding level at this stage is not to obtain a conceptual result,but to provide the premise and basis for the cultivation of children’s understanding ability of "loving the motherland".Therefore,based on the above research results and through the functional characteristics of children’s naive theory,the author puts forward several educational suggestions,including: adults should accept the explanation mechanism of children and the naive patriotic theory derived from it,and explore its undeveloped "blank area" on the basis of respect,recognition,understanding and trust;On this basis,kindergarten and preschool teachers can focus on the key role of children’s predictive ability and the application of diversified teaching methods,and incorporate this theory into teaching practice,so as to promote the mutual promotion and coordinated development of theory and practice.Finally,the theory of children’s simple patriotism originates from life experience and should be returned to daily life,so that the single theory can be revitalized.School education with kindergarten as the main place can work with family education,community education and social mass to return this theory to children’s own life.
