| The main elderly care models in China are family care,institutional care,and community care.With the continuous development of society,the number of people choosing institutional care is constantly increasing,and the elderly care model is transforming into institutionalized care.As the most vulnerable elderly group,the government bears the responsibility of providing centralized support for the elderly with five guarantees.Therefore,institutional care has become the most powerful way to take care of the elderly with five guarantees,However,most of the elderly with five guarantees have not met their personalized needs after entering the nursing home,which makes them face the problem of adapting to Hard problem of consciousness in the nursing home.Based on this understanding,this study investigated the adaptation status of the five guarantee elderly in L Nursing Home in Haikou City,Hainan Province through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation.It found that the five guarantee elderly in L Nursing Home had adaptation problems in daily life,psychological and emotional levels,and interpersonal communication levels,which was specifically reflected in the fact that the diet in the nursing home was relatively simple,which could not meet the personalized needs of the elderly in hospital;The elderly admitted to the hospital have poor sleep quality and experience insomnia;The emotional response,self-awareness,and life satisfaction of hospitalized elderly people change after moving into a nursing home;The elderly admitted to the hospital have weak interpersonal communication with the elderly and staff in the same hospital,and there is no one to express their inner distress.Through investigation and analysis,the author found that the main influencing factors for the elderly in the nursing home to have difficulty adapting are the lack of daily care services,strict management systems in the nursing home,unclear self-awareness of the elderly with five guarantees,and a decline in their interpersonal skills after moving into the nursing home,as well as weak social support networks.Therefore,based on the theory of social support,this article uses case work intervention and group work intervention to help the elderly with five guarantees improve their adaptation to the elderly care in nursing homes.The case service intervention is mainly divided into three stages.The first stage helps the case owner clarify irrational cognition,clarify the hospital system,and get rid of negative emotions.The second stage of intervention is to help the case owner improve the lack of social support network.The third stage involves assisting the case owner in consolidating their interpersonal circle and further improving their living adaptation in nursing homes.The intervention services for group work mainly carry out six group activities,and help the elderly with five guarantees to actively view the collective life of the nursing home from four stages: the initial stage of the group,the transition stage of the group,the mature stage of the group,and the end stage of the group,establish correct cognition,build a social support network,enhance happiness and sense of belonging in the hospital,and enhance the adaptability of the hospital.After the intervention service was completed,the author conducted an evaluation of the effectiveness of the five guarantees for elderly people with difficulties in adapting to the hospital and summarized and reflected on the entire study,in order to raise social attention to the difficulties of the five guarantees for elderly people living in nursing homes and provide more respect and care to this group. |
