Social Work Involved In The Study Adaptation Of Five Guarantees For The Aged

The rural five-guarantee support system is a social security system implemented in rural areas in China.The five-guarantee support is divided into centralized support and decentralized support.Among them,the main content of the five guarantees for the elderly to provide support for the elderly is that the local welfare institutions provide basic life care insurance and old-age care services for the rural five-guarantee elderly.Judging from the current development trend of China's rural five-guarantee support system,achieving centralized support is an inevitable choice for the future.The Taijiang County Welfare Institute selected by this study is the local centralized support organization of the five guarantees old people.During the internship,through observation and interviews,it was learned that some of the five-guarantee old people did not adapt to the life of the welfare institution after entered it,and there was a situation where the institution was difficult to adapt.Although the welfare institution can meet the basic daily material needs of the Five Guarantees old people,it ignores the need for the five-guarantee old people to adapt,so that the problem of adaptation of the Five Guarantees old people remains unresolved.Therefore,social work intervention is necessary.As a profession people with professional skills,social worker can bring the services into welfare institutions,provide relevant professional social work services according to the status,problems and existing needs of the five-guarantee old people,help the five-guarantee old people to adapt the institution.This paper discusses the practical application of social work intervention on the five-guarantee old people how to adapt the welfare institution for the elderly from five parts.The first part includes background and research significance,relevant literature research,research methods,related concepts and theoretical basis.The second part conducts in-depth investigation and understanding of the physiological,psychological and interpersonal adaptation of the five-guarantee elderly in the welfare institution,and analyzes the existing problems and summarizes the causes of the problems.The third part presents the practicalprocess of social work intervention,under the guidance of the social support network theory,the superiority perspective theory,and the ecosystem theory,we carried out the personal case of five-guarantee old people and the group work services.The fourth part is an assessment of interventions to demonstrate the effectiveness of social work methods in solving the problem of adaptation to physiological,psychological and interpersonal communication in rural five-guarantee old people.The fifth part is the conclusions and reflections and suggestions,including the conclusions of the research,the reflection of the application of theories and techniques,the reflection of the practical process and the suggestions.The study finds that through the intervention of casework and group work,the adaptation problem of the five-guarantee homes for the elderly in Taijiang County Welfare Institute has been resolved,the adaptability has been improved,and the attitude has been improved.There are inadequacies,such as the five-guarantee elderly's sense of identity and sense of belonging in welfare institutions,it need for the hospital and the elderly to make long-term efforts.But overall,the social work methods used in the five guarantees for the elderly to adapt to the homes still have a good effect.
