The successful conclusion of the Beijing Winter Olympics, which attracted worldwide attention, will have a far-reaching impact on every aspect of our country.According to the current international "triple bottom line" theory of sports event impact: The impact of sports Events can be divided into economic impact, social impact and environmental impact. For Mega events such as Beijing Winter Olympics, the social impact on the host country, host city and residents of the host place is far more important than the economic impact and environmental impact.International large-scale sports events are a quasi-public good in nature, and the government,as the host, usually pays more attention to its social influence and social benefits. On the basis of referring to the literature related to the social impact of previous large-scale sports events and social impact evaluation studies, this paper starts from the perspective of the perception of residents in the host places of large-scale sports events, takes the social impact evaluation of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics as the research object, conducts a questionnaire survey among Beijing residents through field investigation, and adopts the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The social impact scores of the Beijing Winter Olympics immediately after the games and six months after the games were calculated for quantitative research, and the scores of the two time periods were compared, which can not only evaluate the total social impact of the Beijing Winter Olympics, but also evaluate the social impact of the first level of different dimension indicators and the second level of different evaluation indicators. The results showed that:(1)Each fitting index of the scale in this study finally met the requirements, indicating that the final theoretical model had a high degree of fitting with the data obtained from the actual investigation. The six dimensions of the social impact scale of the Beijing Winter Olympics were basically reasonable,so the scale has good structural validity for measuring the social impact factors of large-scale international sports events.(2)The short-term social impact evaluation of the Beijing Winter Olympics immediately after the games is: the positive impact of holding the Beijing Winter Olympics on the country,Beijing city and itself is highly approved, and they believe that holding the Beijing Winter Olympics will have a high positive social impact. For the negative impact of the Beijing Winter Olympics in all dimensions, hold relatively disagree evaluation, believe that the Beijing Winter Olympics has produced a low negative social impact. For the overall impact of Beijing Winter Olympics hold a high identification evaluation, think that the Beijing Winter Olympics has produced a good social impact.(3)The long-term social impact evaluation of Beijing residents in the six months after the Beijing Winter Olympics is: they hold a high identification evaluation of the positive impact of the Beijing Winter Olympics on the country,Beijing city and themselves, and believe that the Beijing Winter Olympics has produced a high long-term positive social impact. The long-term evaluation of the negative social impact of the Beijing Winter Olympics in all dimensions is significantly higher than the short-term evaluation, but the negative social impact is still considered to be low.In general,Beijing residents still hold a high identification evaluation of the long-term social impact of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and believe that the Beijing Winter Olympics has produced a good long-term social impact.(4)With the passage of time, the overall social impact evaluation of Beijing residents on the Beijing Winter Olympics declined slowly, but still maintained a high identification evaluation. The positive social impact of Beijing Winter Olympics showed a very slow decline as time went by.As for the negative social impact, the evaluation showed an obvious increasing trend over time.Suggestions:(1)Establish a scientific post-competition evaluation system for the social impact of large-scale international sports events;(2)Rationally formulate event policies and plans to reduce the negative impact of large-scale international sports events;(3)improve residents’ participation mechanism and increase residents’ participation in sports events;(4)make full use of the postWinter Olympics legacy to serve residents;(5)take overall consideration;Make the event bring long-term sustainable development to the society...
