Research On The Current Situation Of Primary School Students’ Participation In Winter Sports Promoted By The Beijing Winter Olympic Games

The successful holding of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games has contributed an Olympic event that has been recorded in history to the people of the world.For China,it has not only demonstrated a good international image to the world,but also demonstrated China’s strength in holding large-scale international events under the epidemic crisis,and also provided a good opportunity for the development of winter sports.Although the winter sports in China have a long history,due to factors such as history and economic development level,its development achievements still have a certain gap compared with some winter sports powers.One important reason is that the popularity of winter sports among young people is relatively small.Except for the northeast region and a few northern regions,the scale of winter sports in most regions of China is almost zero.Therefore,Popularizing winter sports among young people is of great significance for the sustainable development of winter sports in China.Changchun is located in the northeast of China,with rich snow and ice resources and obvious geographical advantages for the development of winter sports.This paper,by exploring the impact of the successful holding of the Beijing Winter Olympics on the participation of pupils in winter sports in Changchun,can provide a reference for the popularization and development of winter sports in primary schools across the country.This paper adopts the methods of literature review,expert interview,questionnaire,mathematical statistics,SWOT analysis and other methods to investigate the current situation of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games promoting Changchun primary school students to participate in winter sports,and draws the following conclusions:1.The holding of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games has a great positive impact on Changchun primary school students’ participation in snow and ice sports.Changchun primary school students have learned comprehensive snow and ice sports knowledge and skills.2.Parents have a high degree of support for primary school students’ participation in snow and ice sports.The main reasons for parents’ support are that they can exercise their bodies by participating in snow and ice sports,so that primary school students can learn more about the Winter Olympics,and they can have more exchanges with friends during the sports,so as to help children grow up healthily.3.Through the Beijing Winter Olympics,some primary school ice and snow sports facilities in Changchun City have been greatly improved.All the 8 schools participating in the survey have built winter skating rinks.Some schools have introduced some professional ice and snow sports teaching facilities with the support of relevant policies,providing a good guarantee for the development of school ice and snow sports courses.4.The schools participating in the survey in Changchun have all added snow and ice sports related courses,enabling students to have a more in-depth understanding of snow and ice sports,improving the enthusiasm of snow and ice sports participation,and laying a solid foundation for the cultivation of snow and ice sports reserve talents in Changchun.
