Research Objective: This paper,by referring to the related literature and experimental design of speed based strength training(VBT),combined with the special characteristics of volleyball,to develop a specific training program.Sixteen volleyball college students from Shandong University of Physical Education were randomly grouped to perform speed based strength training(VBT)and percentage based strength training(PBT)respectively.The lower extremity explosive power index and maximum strength value of VBT group and PBT group before and after the experiment and between the experimental group were compared and analyzed to observe whether there were statistical differences.To explore the effect of VBT on lower limb explosive power of volleyball students.Research methods: Literature,expert interview and experiment methods were used in this study.Through the literature analysis,the concept connotation,physiological mechanism,training effect and training application of VBT and lower extremity explosive force were understood.The research status and development trend of lower extremity explosive power in volleyball are clarified.It lays the theoretical foundation of this study.By using the method of expert interview and experiment,through the Shandong Institute of Physical Education physical training and volleyball experts related to the field of interview.The training time,training frequency,interval time,number of training groups,training load and other indexes were determined in the research training.And combined with the experimental method to formulate scientific training methods.It provides a reasonable training scheme for this study.Research results:(1)By comparing the 1RM of load-bearing squat after the experiment between the experimental group(VBT)and the control group(PBT),it was found that no significant difference was found in 1RM of load-bearing squat between the two groups(P>0.05).However,by comparing the maximum strength growth rate of 1RM of load-bearing squat between the two groups,VBT increased by 14.0% and PBT increased by 7.8%.The maximum force growth rate of the VBT group was significantly better than that of the PBT group.(2)Through the pre-test and post-test comparison between the experimental group and the control group,it is concluded that VBT and PBT training in the intra-group comparison of limb explosive power index(P<0.05)can promote the lower limb explosive power of the volleyball college students.In the comparison between the experimental group and the control group,there is no significant difference in the measurement index of lower limb explosive power(P>0.05).But compared with PBT group,the growth rates of CMJ height in the air,CMJ peak power,30 meter acceleration,standing long jump and run-up height in VBT group increased by 6.1%,3.8%,0.3%,1.8%and 1.3%,respectively.By comparing the growth rate before and after,the growth rate of the experimental group is better than that of the control group,which shows that VBT training and PBT can promote the lower limb explosive power of volleyball college students,but the training effect of VBT group is better than PBT group.Research conclusion:(1)VBT is an effective means to improve the lower extremity explosive power of volleyball college students.(2)Both VBT and PBT can improve the maximum strength of volleyball students,but the effect of VBT on the maximum strength is better than PBT.
