A Study On The Improvement Of Reconstituted Family Parent-child Relationship Under The Satir Family Therapy Model

In the era of diversified family structure,restructured families have increasingly become an important part of many family types.However,due to the characteristics of this family type itself,such as the large number of members,complex relationships between members,and the lack of blood relations between step-parents,the relationship between parents and children in restructured families is more serious and needs to be improved urgently.Social work is a profession that helps people and has a special intervention model to help service object solve their problems.To this end,this paper will use the theories and techniques of the Satir family therapy model as a guide to fully highlight the key points emphasized in the model’s underlying theory: finding the root causes of individual psychological problems in the interrelationships and interactions of family members.The theoretical basis of the model is further integrated with the practical process to improve the parent-child relationship problems of restructured family.On the one hand,we help the service object,X restructured family,to improve the poor parent-child relationship and promote the healthy growth of the family;on the other hand,we enrich the practical research of the model in improving the parent-child relationship problems of restructured families.This study takes the X restructured family in village C as the service object,and uses the interview method,scale method and observation method to collect data,estimate questions and evaluate services,which aims to help the X restructured family members form a consistent communication mode,improve the sense of self-worth of the service object,reshape the reasonable and flexible family guide,and establish the rational cognition of the step-parent relationship among family members.After interviewing,the author found that there are the following problems between parents and children in the X restructured family: the low frequency of communication between stepparents;The biological father controls the children,and the parent-child intimacy is low;The biological father harshly criticize his children and undermine their confidence in learning;There are many misunderstandings between stepparents,and stepmothers ignore stepchildren.Combined with the service demand,the author formulated the service goal and service plan for the X restructured family members according to the human identity process model in the Satir family therapy model,and the plan was divided into five stages,and seven interventions were carried out,each intervention basically met the needs of service objects and service goals.The study found that the Satir family therapy model can effectively improve the problem of restructured family parent-child relationship,which is reflected in three aspects: first,it can improve the problem of poor parent-child communication in restructured family and rebuild consistent communication in the surface;Second,it can enhance the sense of self-worth of restructured family members and build confidence;The third is to be able to reshape the unreasonable family rules of the restructured family,and learn to formulate reasonable and flexible family guidelines.At the end of the study,the author has reflected on the application of the Satir family therapy model to improve parent-child relationships in restructured families in the following five aspects:how the concept of equality in the model’s foundation concept can be more mutually reinforcing and compatible with the concept of "orderly respect and inferiority" in China;how to further improve the interventions of the foundation theory for factors influencing outside the family;how to further reconcile the economic interest aspect of the influencing factors with ethical dilemmas;how to improve the main indicators and assessment tools in the application of the technique;and whether the groups served by the technique can be more extensive.By improving and optimizing the application of this model in China,on the one hand,it will be more conducive to the overall improvement of the problem of the parent-child relationship in the restructured family;On the other hand,it will help more groups improve their relationship interaction and make the application of this model more influential.
