A Case Study Of The Satir Family Therapy Model On A High School Student In Parent-child Conflict

In recent years,society has paid more and more attention to the mental health of adolescents.High school students are in an important period of adolescence,and in some families,their self and psychological growth are easily ignored by parents,and learning problems are sandwiched between parents and children,causing parent-child conflicts.This study takes the parent-child conflict of high school students as the intervention point,and in terms of theory,it combines the communication posture,personal iceberg,and family rule theory and method in The Satya Family Therapy Model.This study intervened in the parent-child conflict of the client’s family,and used the unstructured interview method and scale method to interview and collect data on the client’s family members,and found that the main problems faced by the client’s family were: learning problems、communication dilemmas、and the client’s low sense of self-worth.Combined with the communication posture theory in The Satya Model,the social worker first takes the communication dilemma of the client’s family as the starting point to help the client and the client’s father detect their own bad communication patterns and coping postures,and break the communication situation of emotional confrontation and cold violence.Secondly,by paying attention to the personal internal iceberg,help the client and her father understand and face up to their own and each other’s thoughts,feelings,behaviors,expectations,and desire to understand the true thoughts and needs between parents and children,and guide the client to correctly understand the relationship between themselves,learning problems and parents’ expectations;Third,help the client’s family discover the bad norms and requirements in the family system,create an environment conducive to friendly communication and interaction with the family,and improve the family atmosphere;In the final stage,lead the client family to consolidate the content and methods of the service and enhance the ability of family members to cope with conflict and risk.The study found that The Satya Family Therapy Model can effectively help the client’s family alleviate the tension of parent-child conflict and improve the parent-child relationship: First,the communication dilemma can be effectively improved;Second,the client’s self-confidence and sense of self-worth are enhanced;Third,the family atmosphere has been improved.It is found that The Satya Family Therapy Model is more applicable to the service intervention of clients-high school students,and gives strong energy and belief to the service clients in the process of changing their difficulties.
