| With the deepening of national modernization and urbanization, the transformation of contemporary Chinese rural society has brought about the change of people’s concept of marriage, which also makes the marriage problem increasingly appear, resulting in a large number of marriage and family problems. The increasing number of single-parent families has attracted the attention of scholars in sociology, demography and other fields at home and abroad.Judging from the existing researches, most scholars only pay attention to the broad field of single parent families, and rarely subdivide the research object of single parent families, and carry out research on different types of single parent families. In addition, scholars mainly investigated single-parent families in the southern cities, and the research results on the special group of " father single parent families " in the northern rural areas are relatively rare. Therefore, based on the research strategies of "deep description" analysis method and "process-event" analysis method, this paper takes " father single parent families " in S Town of Hebei Province as a case, and accumulates a large number of interview data through participant observation method and unstructured interview method.According to the theory of structural functionalism and social support, the paper studies the dilemma and social support it faces,so as to deepen the understanding of rural marriage, analyze rural family relations, and provide a reference case for the establishment of a harmonious and stable rural governance model, and finally the construction of China’s rural modernization. Therefore, this paper is divided into five chapters to explain the reasons and problems caused by the wife’s leaving. The first chapter starts with the basic characteristics of the wife leaving the family, and analyzes the basic situation of the " father single parent families " S town, the basic condition of the family and the way of getting acquainted with the marriage. The second chapter makes an empirical study on the causes of "father single parent families " in S Town. The third chapter gives a comprehensive understanding of the specific difficulties faced by the " father single parent families " after the wife leaves, and analyzes the specific needs of the " father single parent families " in the face of the dual difficulties of life and psychology. The fourth chapter focuses on the analysis of the " father single parent families " when the desire to remarry to meet the restrictive problems, and take specific strategies. The fifth chapter, starting from the family itself, the village department, the school and the local government and other forces, divides the social support of " father single parent families " into formal social support and informal support, and puts forward suggestions on improving the social support of "father single parent families",providing practical social support for " father single parent families " and calling on all sectors of society to pay attention to this group.Through the research,it is found that under the background of rapid social mobility, the marriage market in rural areas has undergone great changes, coupled with the transformation of traditional marriage concepts, which makes the status of men in remote rural families in the marriage market declining and the right to choose gradually lost.Affected by multiple factors, the instability of rural marriage relationship is increasingly aggravated, resulting in more and more " father single parent families ".Rural " father single parent families " are different from ordinary single-parent families. They are generally faced with family economic difficulties,cross-regional marriage,"underground marriage" transactions, and all children. After his wife leaves,he is faced with difficulties such as a loss of income, childcare, and communication with his children,as well as great psychological pressure. In the face of various difficulties, the people for help of " father single parent families " are mainly from informal groups, but informal support has obvious deficiencies in terms of stability, timeliness and continuity of improving family conditions. As a result, the living conditions of most " father single parent families " in S-town have not been greatly improved after years of wives leaving. It still faces serious problems such as low economic living standards and difficulties in remarriage. The emergence of "father single parent families " not only affects the normal life of the family, affects the psychology of family members and destroys the parent-child relationship, but also leads to the restriction of the remarriage of single fathers, brings bigamy,"underground marriage" transaction and other marriage problems, but also brings the chaos of the rural social order, destroys the stability of the society and the authority of the national marriage law. |
