InIn recent years,with the rising divorce rate in China,more and more families have joined the ranks of single-parent families.Because of the particularity of family formation,teenagers in single-parent families are prone to some psychological problems,which will have a great impact on their life and study.Therefore,the mental health of adolescents from single-parent families should be paid attention to by society and academia.Based on the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,the study was conducted in the form of questionnaire,and the case study was carried out.The social support and the relation between the two are in-depth understanding of the middle school students of single-parent families,and the effective measures to improve the mental health level of single-parent students are discussed.It was found that:First,there is no significant difference in the utilization of social support and the total score of social support among single parent junior high school students of different genders,but there are significant differences in subjective support and objective support.The subjective support,objective support,utilization of support and the total score of social support of girls are higher than those of boys.Second,there were no significant differences in objective support,utilization of support and total score of social support among students of different grades.The objective support,utilization of support and the total score of social support of junior high school students are higher than those of junior high school and junior high school students.Third,most single parent junior high school students have mild and moderate mental health problems,and a few have severe mental health problems.Among them,poor adaptation,interpersonal tension and sensitivity and emotional instability factors have a higher proportion.Fourth,the scores of 10 factors of mental health and the total score of mental health of single parent junior middle school girls were higher than those of boys,and the severity of psychological problems of girls was higher than that of boys.Fifthly,the higher the grade,the higher the scores of mental health factors and the total score of mental health of single parent junior high school students,and the severity of psychological problems in senior grades is higher than that in lower grades.Sixth,there is a significant positive correlation between mental health and social support of single parent junior high school students,that is,when the degree of social support increases,the degree of mental health will also increase.This study suggests that the mental health status of junior high school students from single parent families can be regulated from the level of formal social support and informal social support.As far as formal social support is concerned,the government can start from the aspects of system,finance,purchase of services and so on.Schools should strengthen the construction of mental health education teachers,guide students and attach importance to school support.Community and social organizations should actively carry out community activities,equip the community with professional social workers,and carry out targeted work.For the level of informal social support,parents in the family should improve parent-child relationship and explore scientific ways of family upbringing;students themselves should improve their own resistance.In order to improve the level of mental health,it is hard to face difficulties,to improve social support and to use social support.
