According to the results of the seventh national census,the proportion of the elderly population in China continues to rise,and the elderly population,especially the disabled and dementia elderly who need long-term care,has become a major social problem that needs to be solved urgently.In accordance with the requirements of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to implement the national strategy of actively coping with the aging of the population,China focuses on building diversified and inclusive elderly care services,institutional pension is an important part of the elderly care industry,and plays an increasingly important role in socialized elderly care services.However,as the provider of elderly care services,nursing staff in nursing institutions show a trend of demand exceeding supply,and problems such as heavy work burden,high work pressure,and high turnover rate occur.According to relevant studies,caregivers who are in a state of stress for a long time will cause harm to their physical and mental conditions,which in turn will affect the quality of elderly care services.Social work participation in the research of nursing staff stress relief is conducive to ensuring that institutional nursing staff provide high-quality and sustainable professional services,improve the scientific management level of elderly care service institutions,and promote the development of the elderly care service industry.This study was conducted to understand and analyze the work stress status of caregivers of the elderly with disabilities in nursing home C.Under the guidance of the work requirement control support model,enrichment theory and social support theory,the study was conducted through literature research,structured interviews,questionnaires,participant observation,combined with the modified Zarit Caregiving Burden Scale and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS).At the same time,this study analyzed the caregivers’ stressors and reaction process by using the work requirement control support model,and used the group work method to target professional services to explore the positive role of group work in the process of caregivers’ stress relief by enhancing caregivers’ physical and mental stress self-regulation ability,improving their work control ability and increasing their social support level.First,the author used structured interviews,questionnaires and participant observation to understand the main manifestations of caregivers’ stress problems in physical,psychological and social aspects.Second,the author used the work requirement control support model to analyze the sources of caregiver stress and response processes from individual and situational perspectives.Again,from the perspective of social work research,the author develops targeted group work services from the perspective of enrichment theory and social support theory to improve caregivers’ physical and psychological stress self-regulation ability,life care ability,and enhance their social support,so as to achieve the goal of reducing caregivers’ physical and mental stress.Finally,the effectiveness of the group work service was examined by comparing the caregivers’ caregiving burden before and after the study,and the service experience was summarized.According to the study,group work interventions to enhance caregivers’ physical and mental stress self-regulation,improve their work control ability and enhance their social support have positive effects on caregivers’ stress relief.At the same time,this study attempts to summarize the logical process of stress relief through the practical reflection of group work involvement in caregiver stress relief to complement the existing research on stress relief of service users.
