Research Objective: To explore the effect of high intensity interval training on the continuous punching ability of male boxing athletes by conducting high intensity interval training for 4 weeks on 20 athletes from the Inner Mongolia men’s boxing team,in order to provide reference for boxing training practice.Research methods: In this study,20 athletes were evenly divided into experimental group and control group according to sport level and age.The athletes in the experimental group received 1-hour high-intensity interval training intervention 3 times a week for 4 weeks, while the control group received medium-intensity continuous training with the same frequency, content and duration. Before and after the intervention, the impact power, the number of hits,two-handed chest push solid ball against the wall, double shake jump and other relevant indicators of the boxer’s continuous hitting ability were tested.Paired sample T test and independent sample T test were used to compare the obtained data within and between groups.Research results:(1)The experimental group pushed solid ball against the wall with both hands in front of the chest for 1 minute, double shake jump for 9 minutes, total number of hits in 1st minute, total number of hits in 2nd minute, total number of hits in 3 minutes,Compared with before intervention, there were statistical differences in the performance improvement of the 10-second punching power,30-second punching power,1st minute punching power,2nd minute punching power,3rd minute punching power and 3 minute punching power(p<0.05).(2)In the control group,the9-minute double shake jump, the total number of strikes in 2nd minute, the total number of strikes in 3rd minute and the total number of strikes in 3 minutes, the performance improvement of the total power of strikes in 3rd minute after intervention was statistically different from that before intervention(p<0.05).(3)The experimental group of 1 minute hands chest push solid ball against the wall,10 seconds of total power,30 seconds of total power,1st minute of total number of times,3rd minute of total number of times,2nd minute of total power,3rd minute of total power,3 minutes of total power after intervention there were statistical differences compared with the control group(p<0.05).Conclusion:(1)4 weeks of high intensity interval training can significantly improve the explosive power of male boxing athletes.(2)4 weeks of high intensity interval training can significantly improve the continuous punching endurance of male boxers and maintain good punching effect;4 weeks of medium intensity continuous training can also improve the continuous punching endurance of male boxers, but mainly focus on the maintenance of punching frequency.(3)4 weeks of high intensity interval training can change the 3-minute continuous punching output mode, improve the output power of each punch in the process of continuous punching, and give more consideration to the punching effect; And 4 weeks of continuous training in the intensity of the athletes on the basis of maintaining the original punching power to increase the number of punching.
