Objective:High intensity interval training(HIIT),as one of the most popular exercise methods, has been proved to be safe and effective for healthy and sick people. With the characteristics of short time, high efficiency and strong interest, the exercise makes up for the shortcomings of the traditional way of exercise, namely, moderate intensity continuous training(MICT),and provides new ideas and directions for promoting public physical activities. At present, most domestic researchers focus on the physiological benefits of HIIT,and the changes of physiological indexes during exercise become an important standard to evaluate the effect of HIIT.However, little attention has been paid to the psychological feelings of individuals in the process of exercise. Therefore, this study will focus on the changes and differences of affect and enjoyment between different exercise modes, and explore the psychological benefits of HIIT exercise. In addition, different exercise intermission ratio may produce different affect and enjoyment. How to arrange exercise and intermission time to better improve the exerciser's affect and enjoyment is also the focus of the research.Research methods:In Study 1,meta-analysis was used to explore the effect of high-intensity intermittent exercise and medium intensity continuous exercise on affect and enjoyment, and to analyze the regulatory factors that affect the difference of emotion and enjoyment induced by two different kinds of exercise. In Study 2,32 college students(16 boys and 16 girls)were randomly assigned to two different exercise styles(HIIT group and MICT group). The subjects in HIIT group exercised on the treadmill for 1 minute in a 1:1 intermittent mode with exercise intensity above 85%HRmax and rest for 1 minute;the subjects in MICT group exercised on the treadmill for 20 minutes with exercise intensity of 60%?70%HRmax.In HIIT exercise,RPE,FS and EES scales were tested during exercise(in the last 10 seconds of exercise and rest); In MICT group,RPE,FS and EES scales were recorded in the last 10 seconds of every 2 minutes of exercise to match the measurement points of HIIT.PACES was measured immediately,10 minutes and 20minutes after exercise. In Study 3,60 college students(30 boys and 30 girls)were randomly assigned to three different HIIT intermittent modes(<1:1 group,=1:1group and>1:1 group). The subjects in the<1:1 group exercised on the treadmill for1 minute at 85%HRmax or above and rested for 30 seconds;the subjects in the=1:1group exercised on the treadmill for 1 minute at 85%HRmax or above and rested for 1minute;the subjects in the>1:1 group exercised on the treadmill for 1 minute at 85%HRmax or above and rested for 2 minutes.During HIIT exercise,RPE,FS and EES were measured during exercise(in the last 10 seconds of exercise and rest),while PACES was measured immediately,10 minutes and 20 minutes after exercise.Result:In study 1:the combined effect of emotion WMD was?0.79,95%CI[-1.33,-0.25],P=0.04,I2=79%,P=0.000,indicating that the emotion of HIIT was more negative;the WMD of the sense of enjoyment was 6.48,95%CI[4.00,8.96],The results showed that the enjoyment of HIIT was higher than that of other subgroups(P=0.00,I2=88.4%,P=0.00);the negative emotional response induced by one exercise, full sprint,HIIT above 100%VO2max,obesity,20-30 years old was higher than that of other subgroups(P<0.05);the negative emotional response induced by one exercise,long-term exercise,85%VO2max was higher than that of other subgroups(P<0.05)HIIT of VO2max,normal body mass index,20-30 years old, treadmill and intermittent mode=1:1 subgroup induced higher level of enjoyment. In study 2:in different exercise modes, there were significant differences in RPE,FS and EES between HIIT group and MICT group(F(2,45)=9.621,?2=0.300,P<0.05;F(2,45)=7.936,?2=0.261,P<0.05;F(2,45)=6.513,?2=0.224,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in pace between HIIT group and MICT group(P>0.05).In study 3:there was no significant difference in RPE and FS between the three groups in different HIIT intermittent modes(P>0.05).However,the EES and PACES of<1:1 HIIT intermittent mode were higher than those of the other two groups(F(2,57)=3.355,?2=0.105,P<0.05;F(2,57)=3.733,?2=0.116,P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)MICT and HIIT induced higher positive emotion and higher enjoyment.MICT and HIIT induced higher positive emotion and higher enjoyment.MICT and HIIT induced higher positive affect and higher enjoyment.(2)Among the different exercise styles, high intensity intermittent exercise(HIIT)has higher subjective exertion(RPE),lower emotion(FS)and enjoyment in exercise(EES),but the enjoyment after exercise(PACES)is similar to that of medium intensity continuous exercise(MICT),and the enjoyment after exercise of HIIT increases with the increase of time, which can be used as a good exercise to promote physical activity The way.(3)In the three different HIIT intermittent modes, the subjective exertion(RPE)and emotion(FS)of college students are similar, and the feeling of enjoyment(EES,PACES)in the<1:1 HIIT intermittent mode is significantly higher than that in the other two HIIT intermittent modes.
