In this era of rapid development, people’s material needs have been greatly satisfied, and more and more people have begun to pursue quality of life. However, people’s healthy development is indeed unbalanced, compared with physical health, people’s mental health problems are increasingly prominent, the pace of life is faster, and the pressure of work is increasing, resulting in a gradual increase in the number of people with national psychological and behavioral problems and mental disorders. In this context, the purpose of this study is to significantly alleviate or eliminate depressive symptoms of college students through the exercise intervention of 8 weeks of aerobic running, and at the same time promote college students to develop a good sports lifestyle and help them return to normal campus life. The effect of aerobic running training interventions of different intensities on the depression level of college students was analyzed in depth, and the timeliness of exercise interventions was understood through long-term follow-up.In this study,52 college students with depression were used as experimental methods, questionnaire survey methods, mathematical statistics and other research methods. The experimental process divided 52 college students into a blank control group and three intervention experimental groups with different exercise intensity, and underwent experimental intervention for 8 weeks. At the same time, the depression selfrating scale(SDS)was issued in different time periods, and the data were sorted out by Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS25.0,and the statistical analysis, matching sample Ttest, univariate ANOVA ANOVA analysis and repeated ANOVA analysis were described to check the effect of different intensity aerobic running interventions on the treatment of college students’ depressed mood, and JASP16.0 was used to further analyze the utility of different intensity interventions. At the same time, through longitudinal investigation, the intervention timeliness of aerobic running exercise intervention on college students’ depression was understood. The following results are obtained:1.After 8 weeks of running training, the depressed mood scores of the experimental group were: high-intensity group(48.28),< medium-intensity group(49.78)< small-intensity group(55.83);2.After 8 weeks of running training experiment, the intervention effectiveness values of different groups were high-intensity group(3.319),> medium-intensity group(3.141)> small-intensity group(0.630)3.After 3 months of follow-up investigation,it was found that the intervention effectiveness values of different groups were high-intensity group(1.659),> mediumintensity group(1.625)> small-intensity group(0.164)Through the analysis and comparison, the following conclusions are further drawn:1.Through the 8-week aerobic running experimental intervention of college students,it can effectively alleviate the depression of college students, among which the intervention of high-intensity group and medium-intensity group can reduce college students’ depressed mood below the critical value of depression(53 points).2.In the exercise intervention, the effect of high-intensity intervention was better than that of the small group and showed a significant difference, and the effect of the large-intensity group was better than that of the medium-intensity group but there was no significant difference;Among the exercise interventions, the effect of moderateintensity interventions was better than that of the small-intensity group and showed significant differences.3.In the data of the follow-up survey for three months, the intervention timeliness of the high-intensity group and the medium-intensity group was better than that of the low-intensity group, and there were significant differences;Although the intervention effect was better than that of the medium-intensity group at three months, there was no significant difference between the two.
